Check out that very well made trailer for Season 2.
After watching this as well as two others the person did, it got me thinking. Would it be possible to create Buffy movie, using material from and entire season of the show that would be cut and pasted together to form a two and a half hour flick? Similar to these trailers. It would be a crazy undertaking, but I have been thinking about it and it seems both do-able as well as something that could be really cool!
For example, you could use Season 2. Start at the end, where it flashbacks to Buffy being called by Merrick, as well as Angel seeing Buffy for the first time, and finding his calling. Then jump back to the beginning era of Season 2, and doctor together the story to fit into a time frame. Can it be done? Maybe with Season 1 instead? Of course many many things will have to be cut. Am I just talking crazy?

That would be beyond awesome. I would do that in a heartbeat this summer when I had time. But there's two problems with this.
1. I don't know how to upload good quality footage of a whole season.
2. Fox would probably delete it in a millisecond.

OH...MY....GOODNESS! That was the most amazing trailer I have ever seen...i've seriously got major tingles, hairs standing on end...I wanna see that season!!!! No...wait....i've already seen it, but that trailer just makes me wanna watch it again, fresh and new like! lol Anywho, I'm not sure how well a cut together movie would work. When you factor is things like change in hairstyles etc. it could look a little messy. It really depends how it was done. Also, Joe is right, it probably would be deleted fairly quickly by Fox, unless we were a bit more "sneaky sneaky". What a great summer project for our budding film maker fans!  |

That was the best trailer for a season that I've ever seen. Someone made that just as a hobby? That's so impressive. I felt like I was really seeing a professionally made movie trailer. I agree with Erica, I got major tinglies!!!!! Wow..I want to watch that again and again(it helps that S3 is my favorite season). I'm not too sure how a movie with everything smooshed together would work. It would just depend on how it was done, but if the person who made this trailer could make it, then I think it could be possible. They'd just have to hide it from Fox  |

I believe the person who made this was a professional which is why the quality is so high. Yeah this is amazing. I first saw this a few months ago and I love the other two. I hope the trailer for Season 4 is being made.  |

I would be willing to try to make a "Season 1" two hour movie. But I need to know how to upload it to my computer. Or someone can just send me the file if they've already done it. That would be around 10 min each episode. I think I could do it. I would need to watch the whole season at least twice in a row though.

I meant that it would have to severely cut out almost everything from Season 2, and only focus on the main arc of Buffy/Angel...using Spike and Dru as the villains. Meaning no bad eggs, etc. It would not span all episodes, more of just cherry picking scenes that could flow together and tell the basic story. Would FOX pull that? I see it as more of a fan-vid.
I suppose hair and backgrounds would just have to be ignored when watching it.

Fox would definitely pull it. Even if it was just lifting entire scenes, they'd pull it. Lifting those scenes and stringing them together to form a coherent story... they'd pull that, probably delete the account, the seek out the user and kick them in the balls.

Yeah I've seen these before! I love them! Especially season 3, with Faith. I downloaded them a while ago. I know there's also a fan-made Buffy movie of season 6, called "Buffy back from the grave" fanedit.org/68/ |
