Will Angel and Spike really go to Hell?

I have been wondering this for sometime now and wanted to know what you guys think will happen.

Both Angel and Spike have done horrible things, but they are trying to change. That counts for something right? Maybe William the Bloody and Angelus will go to Hell but I think there souls will go to a better place.

I think that their demon selves will indeed go to hell (if Angel is a Vampire when he dies, that is), but their souls will go to heaven. I mean Spike and Angel have both averted so many Apocalypses that I believe far outweighs anything they did while soulless.

Spike is the one that I am really on the fence about. His soulless self and souled self are so a like. I think that even with a soul Spike would turn his back on humanity. That is one of the things that I think makes him more human. He will take the road he knows he can live on, thinks only about himself at times. Just like a true human. So him I don't know about. Angel and Angelus on the other hand are different beings altogether.

yeah i pretty much think that there demon part of them Angelus and William the bloody will go to hell but angel and spike might to a more peaceful place..well thats what i hope but are we sure the things that they have done are enough to wash away the bad things like angel said he only got a small reprieve from hell as in hes going back..

I'm not so sure. While I do agree that there is certainly more of a clear-cut difference between Angel and Angelus as opposed to soulless Spike and souled Spike, I do feel as if Spike proved quite a lot after he was reinsouled that he had begun to care about the world he was protecting. He did die destroying the Hellmouth, and he did join Angel in the final fight with the Circle of the Black Thorn. I think that while Spike can still be very self-centered and hotheaded, he still has an overall drive to protect those that need it. I guess it's just a matter of interpretation.

It's impossible to answer this question without really understanding how heaven and hell work in the universe of the show, and it's something that the writers usually try to avoid. However I believe Spike And Angel are both damned. Angel signing away the Shanshu is proof of this. What makes Angel good is that he doesn't fight for a reward. He knows he's doomed and he can never right the wrongs he's committed but he still fights for the helpless because it's in his nature. this also applies to Spike to a degree. But I think they will both go to hell when they die because it's a price they both have to pay. In essence, the inevitability of burning in hell is what ultimately makes Angel a hero.

That would be an amazingly interesting comic moni series. Kinda like Fray is to Buffy, I would love to see a few Angel issues that take place in the future.
It could start with Angel dying. We do not have to see how, just that he is dead.
It could be like What Dreams May Come. Angel has to prove to the PTB that he is worthy of heaven.

That's just the thing. Angel wouldn't fight it. Spike on the other hand would be raising all kinds of hell about it.

Nah they won't go to hell. I've never believed they would. Angel and Spike will end up in heaven in white leather coats lol

Hopefully they would. Angel especially, he deserves it. People (and vampires with souls) need forgiveness, even though they killed so many people, in the end they saved many more...

If Angel stays human then he does have a chance. But for Spike, thats not the case. He's going to hell just for the sole fact that he is a vampire.

I think Spike and Angel's Souls will go to Heaven as they are trying to redeem themselves. And from what I can tell they both want to be better people, (perhaps not correct word choice though) they are looking for forgiveness and are sorry for everything they did.

Also yes I can see how Angel seems pretty clear cut with his soul and Spike may be more borderline but I agree with Wyndam in that Spike has proved himself he afterall sought out his soul.

Both are trying to save the world and the people in it so yeah I think our favourite Vampires are safe

Wouldn't their souls have already moved on when they were first vamped? I guess they don't remember anything about it if that is the case, or they probably would have said something, but who knows...

I don't think either of them would go to hell. They've both done enough good things to prove they are good.

Maybe their human souls have moved on.
Liam would most likely be in Hell.
William I am not so sure about. We really don't his FULL history.

I really don't think he had any idea what was going to happen.
