alright y, My question was that was it Jasmine that was possessing Cordy or just some other form of evil that was controlling her? According to Wikipedia, they actaully credit Charisma as playing Jasmine. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jasmine_(Angel)I remember though, a line in Angel ,where someone said "What about all the deaths and chaos that happened because the of The Beast?" Jasmine says "All of that must be rectified". or something to that effect. It also seems weird that Jasmine(as Cordelia) would make out with the Beast. Personally, the whole Cordy evil thing, was not something I enjoyed seeing.

I attempted to explain the jasmine arc on a similar thread recently. But yes, evil cordy = Jasmine. But just to clarify, she didn't take over Cordy until the end of Spin the Bottle. Up until then, it was good old cordy, just without her memories.

Maybe I just didn't like Evil Cordy so much that my mind refuses to understand and except explanations. I enjoy Jasmine herself. Just not "possessing" Cordy. I must say kudos for Joss though casting Gina Torres. I really like the statement that this beautiful perfect ideal women was African American.

I think the root of all of the "Evil Cordy" hate is the simple fact that we never saw the "old" Cordy ever again, at least not until "Your Welcome" and in that since it was a little disappointing. On the other hand, I just loved Evil Cordy. Sure the Cordy/Connor thing was gross and weird, but that was because it was supposed to be (and was necessary for the plot).
I thought Charisma accomplished something really spectacular with the slow reveal that Cordy was actually the Beast Master, and her skills as an actress really shined throughout the entire season. I can go on and on about how much I loved Season 4, but I should probably save that for another thread.
But I do understand why so many people hated it, and I will never try and sway or persuade those people to think anything different, because I get how upsetting it was that the real Cordy more or less died at the end of Season 3. There was still a lot of potential in her story to continue one day, which sadly, it did not.

I HATE the whole resurecting dead characters in the Buffyverse, even chracters i dearly love. But i would be so happy if they had brought Cordy back. The character was screwed over terribly, she went from being my fave to one of my most hated. Goody tooshoos Cordy did not work IMO. I would like to see her back to try and retify the mistakes made to her character.

The entire "Evil Cordy" storyline was very interesting, I'll give it that. But I can't really say that I was into it. It was just one odd turn after the next. It was compelling television that's for sure, but they had so much going on at once it was really becoming a mess until Jasmine finally died. I mean I get the whole duality concept that if you kill this person, you are pretty much ending world peace but if you let her live, you wind up loosing lives because of it. But I don't know, I think that concept seemed better on paper rather than on the show so to say. I agree that Cordelia was pretty much majorly screwed over, but there is not any part of me that hopes she comes back. I have nothing against her because she is an amazing character, but the episode where she gave her last goodbye to Angel was so amazing I would never want it to be tainted by her being ressurected.
Either way the whole Jasmine, Evil Cordy saga was a rather interesting watch, but all in all I think it was just alittle too confusing for my liking.
