Did they ever give a reason for Angel leaving his show in that episode where he goes to Sunnydale after Buffy's mom died or did that just happen offscreen? it was on offscreen thing or at least im pretty sure it was

Yeah, I don't recall it being specifically mentioned either. That's kind of lame, seeing as all the other Angel crossovers were tied into bother stories. Also, wasn't this during Angel's dark apathetic arc? Not sure if that's a little continuity error there. Maybe he just has a soft spot for Buffy no matter what.

Forever happened right after Angel had his Epiphany in the episode, well... Epiphany. So it all worked out fine.

I guess at that point Wesley or Cordelia wouldn't really care if he went to see Buffy. Cordy especially didn't really want anything to do with him. So he wouldn't really mention it.
Good thing about the timing, he probably wouldn't have been the greatest comfort prior to boning Darla... actually that'd be interesting to see heh

I always found it weird how they made Buffy act like such a bitch on Angel's 'Sanctuary', when at the end of 'Who Are You?' Buffy gains insight into how Faith hates herself by beating up Buffy in Faith's body. Then at the end of the ep, Buffy looks off into the distance saying 'yeah fun'. She acted like she understood Faith was in pain.
Then she gets over to Angel's place and suddenly all this insight is ripped away. Like only Angel gets to be patient and understanding with Faith. The transformation to uberbitch Buffy discounted what she had learned about Faith's emotional state.

At the end of WHo Are You Buffy had a feeling that Faith was done with being a crazy homicidal bitka. When she saw her in Angel's arms, she immediately jumped to the conclusion that she was wrong and Faith is again trying to screw her over by seducing Angel for god knows what purposes. She was probably having a flashback to Faith and Riley, a wound that at that point was still very much open for her, and seeing Faith with Angel again... lots and lots of salt. Hence the questionable behavior.

Buffy obvs had the right to be angry, after all Faith did and everything and there Angel is helping her, But you kind of see both sides of why Angel is doing it, I still think Angel is kinda harsh to her at the end of the episode !

Angel had every right to send her packing after her bossy behaviour and her even fresher verbal bitchslap. It was his town, and on a meta-textual level, it was his show.
Joss Whedon: The last scene between Buffy and Angel in the crossover where she comes to Angel, that stumped us for a long time. And I finally realised when I was working on it that it's because they need to fight now. They can't be just like, "Oh, we're swell pals and we get along." They really are at very different places in their lives and it's very difficult for them to see each other... So it really helped define how the shows are different and it ends up with Angel laying into Buffy a little bit and saying, "I've got my own show now, and it's different from your show, so get off my show!" That's basically what he's saying. And the moment I wrote that scene, I got very excited and I said, "I get it now. I understand what Angel is and it's not Buffy," and I felt like the training wheels came off.

I get it, I think thats the point where Angel really becomes Angel and dosnt rely on Buffy. It also shows him cutting himself away from Buffy herself and the show at the same time
