She shakes her head to signal to Sierra to not talk to her. From my understanding, In Tabula Rasa, they're basically zombies, if they act out of the ordinary, then they could get in trouble.

Too cool for a custom title. Wait...
I only talk when I've got something to say. Though that something may be inconsequential and random.

No, because people crave human contact. If they think they can do it and get away with it, they will.

It was because they are becoming self aware and that is not supposed to happen. The last person to become self aware during his time at the DOLLHOUSE was Alpha and it ended with him cutting across Dr Claire Saunders' face and taking out half of the Doll's and the handlers. When their memories are wiped that should be it they should retain no memory at all of their past lives/experiences but Echo does, why is all part of the show. I'm loving it!

It's an element that would have been better explained if they had kept the original pilot. That whole scene in the 4th episode of Boyd and Topher chatting was lifted entirely from the original pilot, minus the darker tones. The script for the unaired pilot is posted here. Read it... it may help.

The opening to the unaired pilot was far better than the opening to the first episode. I think the main reason this show doesnt feel very Whedonish is because Fox is taking way too much control. I cant wait untill next weeks episode (ep6) because Joss gets control back
