Hi guys. Newbie here, been lurking for a while and thought I´d say hello. Been starting to watch season 7 (again) and just finished "Same Time, Same Place". Gotta say this is easily in my top ten episodes ever. Guiltridden Willow was played magnificently by Alyson Hannigan and you could really sense the loniless she must´ve been feeling. There´s so many great scenes in it...
- the whole "one scene - two angles" thing worked really well, especially the one with Spike in the basement where Buffy, Xander & Willow talk to him at the same time. Suddenly the gibberish Spike´s been talking made perfect sense!
- Willow & Anya semi-bonding was also great and quite moving considering there past animosity towards each other
- Paralyed Dawn always cracks me up. "Stp tlkng abt vmit!"
- Gnarl was probably the best Monster of the week in ages and really creepy.
- Anya´s "Buffy killed the demon. It was gross."
And it ended with the perfect metaphor of Buffy giving Willow some of her strength to heal.
Great episode. What do you think?

This is one of the better episodes of season 7. Great freak of the week, and some great Willow development as well.

Welcome to the board shocksmile! I agree that STSP is a great episode for all the reasons you mentioned. I particularly love the moment between Buffy and Willow at the end and find it touching every time I watch. It's so nice to see these two getting back some of their closeness after everything that happened. I agree that paralyzed Dawn was hilarious! And Gnarl was definitely one of the creepiest monsters ever used on the show! I also find it hilarious that after so many years the truth of what Xander said to Willow finally comes out! All and all a great episode!

Reading your post makes me want to watch it again. Easily one of the best episodes of the season! Paralyzed Dawn cracks me up everytime. Along with "Where'd you get the nuts?" "Brazil" lol!
LOVED the Willow/Anya stuff. Any scenes with those two are great.
"Will you help me?" "...is it difficult or time consuming?" lmao.
Great episode all around!

I like this episode, but I've only been able to watch it once so far because the demon grossed me out so much. I don't know what it was, but the demon eating Willow's skin was so...graphic to me. I really like the idea that Willow turned herself invisible, that was an interesting element. Also, how only Anya and Spike(correct?) can see him, that was a nice addition. Dawn's paralysis was very entertaining, I really liked it;)
Great bonding between Buffy and Willow at the end, it shows how close they really are.

love this ep. It's the first time i really start to like Dawn. and any Willow-centered episode is automatically a favorite of mine. best quote:
"Someone isn't here! Button, button, who's got the button. My money's on...the witch. Red's been a bad girl..."

Dawn was definately my favorite in this episode. When she got paralyzed and they were posing her on the couch, I nearly pissed my pants.

This is one of my favourites but I can't stand watching Willow look so miserable. You could just feel how sad she was. I haven't watched this episode as much as all the others but I agree with what everyone else is saying XD

I loved this episode. I remember first watching it and being so scared by Gnarl.

Gnarl was a creepy, fantastic character.
I feel that they could have pushed Willow's emotions a little more through this episode.

i just watched it again, and yeah, there are some killer moments. i love when they all make up in the end, adn Buffy and Willow meditating on the bed. and what everyone says after Buffy kills Gnarl is hilarious
Anya: "Buffy killed the demon. It was gross."
Xander: "Thumbs? I can't believe you just did that." (perhaps foreshadowing to Dirty Girls? oooooh)
