Anyone recommend any good comic book series? Something a bit Gothic/Horror like Buffy/Angel/Supernatural, with demons, Angels, destiny, fate, good vs. evil ect... I picked up an Australia (Melbourne made, where I live) comic with these themes and I really enjoyed it ... thanks ...

I don't read any others than Buffy/Angel/Spike/Serenity/Watchmen/V for Vendetta, so I couldn't help you.
I did see some advertisements in Buffy for darkish comics, have a flick through them.

Fallen Angel. You get a sexy heroin who's nude from time to time, happens to be a Fallen Angel fallen from grace, fighting for good in a bad ass depressing city, filled with prostitution, crime and a few demons. It's not light, actually, it's often depressing, but it's a good stóry. Plus, in issue 33(I think that's the one) Illyria will guest star in a few issues. I'm a big fan of the Halloween comics from Devil's Due Publishing. You should try and find the Halloween: Nightdance TPB, it's a standalone mini-series and probably the best Halloween story since the original movie! www.halloweencomics.com/main.php |

Try the Sandman series. It's a really unique blend of mythology, horror, gothic, and epic themes in a seriously twisted but wonderful way. All the works are released in TPBs, or if you prefer, there are hardcover editions too.

it's a zombie survival horror, and it such a good series to get into
there's not really a lot i can tell you about it without giving too much away
but i highly recommend it
i just read the first hardcover today, i couldn't put it down

It's one of my favorites, and the hardcover editions look great on my shelf lol. |

I reccomend the Halloween comics I have quite a few and really enjoy them. The Blair Witch Chronicles are good, I only have 4 issue arc of them but I thought the story was interesting enough if you don't take it too seriously. Neil Gaiman is great for it though, Sandman, Death Time Of Your Life or Coraline are all worth looking into. Could someone let me know if it's best to buy them all and read from the start or just start reading with any volume? (The Walking Dead series I mean) |

Oh and The Umbrella Chronicles are a new-ish comic series by Gerard Way from My Chemical Romance I think. Basically a gothic version of x-men (Okay is oversimplified obviously). May be worth a look too though if your interested ;D

I love Neil Gaiman, a really good Gothic/horror series is the Silent Hill comics by IDW. They are really great, scary too.
