"The series deals with various characters from fairy tales and folklore, referring to themselves as "Fables" who have been forced out of their Homelands by a mysterious enemy known as the Adversary. They have traveled to our world and formed a clandestine community in New York City known as Fabletown. Fables who are unable to blend in with human society (such as monsters and anthropomorphic animals) live at "the Farm" in upstate New York."
Has anyone read it so far? Right now, I'm on volume two. I wasn't sure what to think when I bought the first volume but it is actually really good. As of now, there are eighty one issue think. I'm just buying the trade paper backs until I get all caught up. The dialogue was a little hard to read at first but I'm getting used to it. For anyone who hasn't heard of Fables, look it up! Its a must read for people of all ages... except for little kids because there's cursing involved which really took me by surprise.

I like Fables. It's not great like a lot of people are saying, but I am admittedly just three volumes in. I started the fourth, but set it aside because I really didn't have any motivation to keep reading. It's a decent, fun, and sometimes complex story, but I think I'll have to get through an entire shelf of "Must Reads" before I pick up Fables again.
