I'm not surprised it ranked as high as it did. As far as series finales went, it did just about everything right. It affected nostalgia in long-time viewers. All the show's trademarks were there; fun banter, angst, joy, redemption, good triumphing over evil, etc. And instead of leaving viewers where they were before the hour, it changed the status quo, allowing for the question "So what now?" In other words, even though the show ended, it didn't shut the door on the story. And now we have S8...

Cool! Buffy AND Angel made the list!!!! How exciting!! Is that just one person's opinion, though? The article wasn't very clear.

Great list, not only for Buffy and Angel but for the other choices, especially MASH and Six Feet Under, Claire's final drive always reduces me to tears

That's great. Buffy beat M*A*S*H*! Plus, Angel came in higher! (My personal opinion on finales is Buffy>Angel, but whatever That's really interesting that it came in that high. I love that they added a big part about Spike at the end, that was great. "It was all in a day's work for Buffy the Vampire Slayer "
