Hey guys,
I was wondering what you guys thought of Point Pleasant? For those of you who don't know, it was a show created by Marti Noxon and lasted for about 13 eppies. I thought it was an okay show... not great, but not horrible. It had great supernatural plotlines, but suffered from "The O.C. syndrome" where everything has to be so dramatic.
Just curious what you guys think would have happened had the story continued. I haven't seen any interviews with any of the creative staff to suggest how the cliff-hanger would have ended. Any thoughts?

I haven't seen it. I'm a big fan of Marti Noxon, so I would like to. Has it been released on dvd?
And just to have a rant, I hate it when networks cancel television series on a cliff hanger! I still haven't gotten over Tru Calling being cancelled on a cliff hanger and turning point in the plot. I've always wanted to know what happened. It's horrible.
I remember reading an interview with Marti after Point Pleasant was cancelled (I think) and she was saying how it was such a horrible experience and that she was convinced the network was going to fire her. She said the network would drag her from meeting to meeting and make her cry in every one. I felt bad for her.

I watched it too. It was weird, but I liked it. Don't really know where they were going with it, but I would assume Christina (I think that was her name) would reject her Daddy (the devil) and try to do good. If she were to bring on the apocolypse, that would have been the end of the show. It is out on DVD-I think I'll rent it or buy it if it's cheap-I don't think they even made 13 eps but I could be wrong on that. Thanks Jesse for making me think of it again. If the stupid network suits would leave the creative people alone and let them actually make the shows they signed up to do, TV wouldn't suck so much!
