I found a BSG thread on page 3 and it only had a few posts in it about Razor so I'm starting a new one that is dedicated to the new season that just started last night. I wanna know what do you think of what happened in episode 1, what you guys think is going to happen in the rest of the season. Does anyone have any theories as to the final Cylon? Lets dig deep into the show. I look forward to what you guys have to say!

Oh how I love Battlestar Galactica. It's a show everyone needs to watch.
I just got addicted a few months ago and watched Season 1, 2 and 3 in the span of a week.
Absolutely loved the premiere last night. I can already tell this season will be incredible.

Have watched it from the first (actually also watched the original when it began as well). The season opener was fantastic. Did you see the two 30 minute pre-show shows? Joss was one of the people providing comments - he was featured a lot in the interviews and expressed how much he loved the show. It is filmed out here in Vancouver (BC) which makes it even more special to me. As for the final Cylon....let's recap: Cylons: Female - Number Six / Natalie - Sharon / Boomer - D'Anna / Number 3 - Tory Foster (the president's media aide) Male - Leoben (the rough adventurous looking one) - Doral (the first one they caught - PR guy) - Cavil (the supposedly religious guy) - Simon (doctor) - Colonel Tigh - Gaelen Tyrol (The Chief) - Sam Anders (married Starbuc) I was expecting the numbers to be equal - 6 men and 6 women - but that has been blown out of the water. So far we have 7 men and 4 women. Based on that, I think the final Cylon should be a woman, but.....I need to think on this more. Thanks for starting the post! Okay, here is a question to start pondering....
Starbuck's dad. Do you think maybe he came from Earth? The reason I ask is because of this...
Starbuck listened to her Dad playing Metamorphosis on the piano. That is clearly from Earth, just like All Along The Watchtower.
She could have picked up drawing that Jupiter's Eye symbol from her dad who use to draw it a lot. (I believe that the Jupiter's Eye is a wormhole of sorts that she went threw at the end of season 3. The wormhole takes you on a path right to Earth. If that still exists then her dad could have gone threw it in a spaceship from Earth and followed coordinates to Caprica or a neighboring planet.)
Just some ideas I've been kicking around in my head.

That is a really interesting observation. I never really thought about the music before, but nowit certainly makes me rethink about a lot of things that have gone on. I certainly think the first few episodes are going to focus on Starbuck, as there's no doubt in my mind that she will play a major role in the "end game."

Just occurred to me - The Chief (Galen) has a child with Cally an infant son, Nicholas (the second human-Cylon hybrid according to the BG website). But so far none of the Cylons seem to be racing to get a hold of the baby like they did for Hera. Did I miss something?
Anyone know more about Nicholas?

I was just talking about this the other day with my girlfriend. Hara is the only known half-breed. Because Galen is one of the final 5, they aren't aware of Nicholas presence. Remember, the other Cylons aren't programed to really think about the final 5, so they don't know who they are. The way I see it working out with the final 4 is like this... Anders - He seems to be having the hardest time excepting that he is a Cylon and I could see him flying into the Cylon base to get answers or to work as a double agent. Saul - He is just in complete denial. He will never accept the fact that he is a Cylon and will fight it till the very end. Tory - She is a wild card due to the fact that we never got a lot of a background story on her. I think this is what makes her story more interesting. I wonder if it would have been Billy, had the actor not left the show. Galen - This is going to sound crazy, but I think Galen is going to fully accept the fact that he is a Cylon and travels to the "Darkside". Maybe he even takes Nicky with him?? I just think he has seen the worst sides of humanity and his revelation could just push him over to the other side. |

Now maybe that it too "Neo-Matrix-ie" but thats what it looked like to me. Chances are that your right. However, remember that those Cylons are programed not to think about the final 5. So maybe it will go unnoticed. Hera healed the President with her blood, however it didn't seem to last long. What I can't understand is why not pump more of her blood or maybe take some from Six? I think Hera & Nicky are too young to show any type of "power" or what have you. But they will play a big part in episodes to come. Maybe because they are the only 2 halfbreeds they bond together over time and fall in love? Maybe they mate and start a whole new race of Human/Cylons. I watched this whole documentary about something called Humanzee. It is half human, half Chimpanzee. You can read about it here... en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HumanzeeBut the reason I bring it up is because in the documentary they talk a lot about the moral issues that would come of such a species. What kind of rights would it have being half human? How would we look at other Chimps? Could we justify testing on them if we knew we could breed with them? Then there is the God question. I just saw some many similarities with this idea and BSG. One more reason why it is the best written show ever. |

HOLY CRAP! What a heartbreaking episode!
I. Can. Not. Believe. Tory. Did. That!
She just proved that when it all comes down to it, the Cylons are evil. Callie could have definitely been reasoned with. Galen is going to flip out on Tory when he finds out. I really enjoyed this episode though. The scene where Adama was reading to Roslin was really touching and amazing.

Tory and Gaelen are going to become evil and Saul and Sam will stay loyal to the humans. I'm working on a big theory as to the final cylons plus the 7 known cylons. As soon as I work it all out, I'll post it on here.

im convinced the final cylon is either one of the adamas, or the president. my reasoning for the adamas is, who ELSE would it be? (my whole house watches it, so we've had our thoughts rollin around for a while now). Felix came up, and MAYBE. but i can't see his reveal being significant (and you'd think the final one would be the biggest of all, nay?) it can't be helo, cuz of the whole half-breed thing. why would it be De? Gaius and Starbuck, to me, seem to have very different roles to play (and for Gaius specifically, i believe him when he was drugged and he says he was not a cylon). the adamas stand out to me then as likely. im leaning towards lee myself (though a friend suggested Zach. lol, who knows). the reason I have to include the president is something a friend of mine said: "The prophecy says she has to die before the humans reach Earth. It, however, does not say she has to stay dead." So I grumbled and begrudgingly agreed. After all, she did share a dream with Athena and 6 about the Opera House. That has to be significant. (also, for the record, I have not seen the latest ep. Last I saw was "Faith." So, spoiler warnings about the ep from a few days ago, please  ) |
