Ok amazing episode! I love the fact that we got to see exactly what happened to Kate when she got off the island. I always had a theory that the "him" Kate had to get back to in the season 3 finale was a child but I would have never expected that it was Aaron (I wonder what happened to Claire). I was so happy when they showed Kate and Sawyer getting back together but I knew it as too good to last. So now we officially know 5 of the Oceanic 6 Kate, Jack, Hurley, Sayid, and Aaron.

This was an awesome episode, the best so far this season. The reveal at the end was just spectacular. When Kate was talking to Jake I was wondering if perhaps it meant her child might be Jack's and then there was going to be all of this speculation on who the father of the child was, but then it was revealed to be Aaron, which was just great.
I wonder if at this point Jack knows that Claire is his half-sister? That would make Aaron his nephew. Also makes you wonder what happened to Claire. Will she die before Kate and co. leave the island, or just give Aaron to them so he can be safe off of the island? I guess time will tell. I am actually surprised Claire has lasted as long as she has. I've always thought she was an expendable character. That doesn't mean I don't like her, I just think it would be an excellent plot device to have her die and someone else take care of Aaron.
Also I wouldn't be so quick to say Aaron is one of the Oceanic 6. I think that since Aaron was born on the island, and because I think there is a strong chance there are two more people on the island that can make it off, that I don't think he should be counted as one of the six. I think Sun and Jin are going to be #5 and #6 of the Oceanic 6 that make it off of the island.
It's still all just speculation, but I think all 6 members of the Oceanic 6 are full cast members that have been around since the Pilot episode.

I agree too, absolutely stunning episode, especially the reveal at the end, even though I knew it was going to happen cos I'm addicted to spoilers. I'm seriously doubting that Claire gave Kate Aaron, because Jack didn't seem very happy at all about Kate taking care of him (but then again, when is Jack ever happy?!), and all the Oceanic 6 we know of so far seem very guilty about something... |

Can't believe how positive you guys are on this ep. Maybe it's just that I dislike Kate so very much, but I thought this was a pretty dull episode, I saw the big reveal coming a mile away too.

Can't believe how positive you guys are on this ep. Maybe it's just that I dislike Kate so very much, but I thought this was a pretty dull episode, I saw the big reveal coming a mile away too. Yeah me too. I saw the Arron thing coming, although i still enjoyed the twist cause i wasn't compeltely convinced that was going to happen. Kate is one of my least favorite characters too, she annoys me with her self involved wishy washy ways. But, seriously, she looked hot in that suit.... =p Also i warmed up to her character a little, cause the fact she's settling down and actually thinking of someone else insted of her. Although i have this nagging feeling that she might of kidnapped the baby cause she wanted one. Strange maybe, but it would explain the some of the weirdness with sawyer and she does seem kind of catatonic with love for the baby, theres something almost psychotic about it. |

I've also got a feeling that she kidnapped Aaron but for a different reason, I think that Kate thought Aaron wasn't safe with Locke's group and therefore took him.
