Because of the personalities imprinted, because it's Eliza or actually because Echo character is Faith character like?
At the moment I don't think the characters are alike, Faith being Badass searching for redemption, and Echo being a lost soul stumbling across her identity. (Which seems to have a very noble/activist vibe to it).
But I can see the similarlities with the personalities sometimes, and Eliza's mannerisms make it comparable.

The person who plays Warren has a slight resemblence to the actor who plays Ted in How I met your mother. Sorry to go off topic, but they really do have a slight resemblance. Minus the glasses XD

I agree that most of these connections seem forced. I don't see that many connections with characters from Buffy. Especially the actives. How can you compare them when they have a different personality every episode? At that point you're just matching them to be matching. Even with their actual personalities we haven't really seen enough to make a fair judgment.
At best I can see the Boyd/Giles match. Both are very fatherly. The rest I see more as mixtures of different personalities which defeats the purpose of the question.
