Sailor Moon and Buffy Alike?

i've been watching a lot of sailor moon lately and i noticed that sailor moon is really relatable to buffy.

Buffy: Sailor Moon (Serena): At the beginning of the series she is portrayed as an immature crybaby who hates having to fight evil and wants nothing more than to be a normal girl. a carefree schoolgirl with an enormous capacity for love. As she progresses, however, she embraces the chance to use her power to protect those she cares about. just like buffy


Angel: Tuxedo Mask (Darien): The mysterious one just like angel was at the beginning of the serious.


Willow: Sailor Mercury (Amy): The Smart one


Sailor Mars (Raye)


Faith: Sailor Jupiter (Lita): Tomboy


Anya: Sailor Venus (Mina): ditsy at times


Dawn: Sailor Mini Moon (Rini): Came on the show by different means. like mini moon came from the future and dawn came from energy. reguardless sailor moon protects sailor mini moon and buffy always protects dawn.


Sailor Neptune (Michelle): lesbian this one reminds me of Tara


Sailor Uranus (Amara): lesbian. not sure.


Sailor Pluto (Trista)


Sailor Saturn (Hotaru)

I think that you'd be amazed by how many shows/movies can be relatable to Buffy in surprising ways. I made a list some time ago, and it's not very short. Most of them are inspired by our dear Slayer, but some of them aren't. I guess Sailor Moon isn't (cause it was created in 92, so was Buffy movie), so, it's just a cute coincidence that both of them have blonde immature teen girls chosen to save the world

Actually, Jupiter could also be Kennedy.

I think that there's a few personality types that exist in most tv-groups.

The strong leader who has trouble dealing with her/his responibilities.

The hacker/geek/math genius.

The comic relief.

The mentor (The cats/Giles)

The rebell.

That's okay. It happens quite frequently. Anyway, the S8 board is reserved for only things related to S8. Anything else that relates to BtVS should be posted here. Remember to check to make sure that there's no redundancy (i.e. existing threads that more or less discuss the same thing).
