so, my 18th birthday is coming up in a few months and my mom has started asking me what i want. she said she wants to buy me something special for around £200, or two things £100 each maybe.

and ofcourse, the Buffy fan i am, the first thing that came into my head was "Buffy sycthe." i told my mom and she asked what it was so i told her it was a prop replica of a weapon used on Buffy.

my mom is very religious. but more of a "God loves me, God loves you, no matter what" type of religious, and she really dislikes anything 'demonic' and she's somehow got it into her head that Buffy is a really dark show about all sorts of naughty evil. so i definately think a Buffy sycthe is out of the question. but i finally managed to explain that Buffy isn't dark or demonic in the slightest. so now i think she's okay with buying me something Buffy related, but not the sycthe cos ooh! it's a weapon! she must think i'm gonna try and kill people with it.

i was thinking of getting something more like a signed, framed art print or anything like that that's Buffy related. i just can't seem to find any and wondered if you guys knew where i could find something? or any other cool ideas would be welcome.

There's two versions of that one, one with just Jo Chen's auto and one with Jo Chen's and Joss Whedon's.

There are of course other lithos, some quite nice, but I'm not sure where you could get them.

There's always a bunch of cool official props on ebay from this company called vipfanclubs. They usually have some from Angel and/or Buffy up on there.

Let's see, other stuff... on Ebay there's a load of cool stuff, such as what I've found before:

-Signed scripts
-Buffy signed pictures
-Search "Buffy prop" and then you'll come up with awesome stuff
-Buffy books, educational or fictional. There's some really awesome educational essays and books that really delve into Buffy and Angel.
-Angel or Spike puppets. They're usually around $200 and really super awesome.

go for an electric tiki if you can't get the sycthe. i love them! i would really love a sycthe though.....or go for another prop replica. Or with that kind of money comminsion a figure from the many talented Customers like Msbig, or WillowsWarlock (BTVSfigs). Custom figures are one of a kind and very cool to have. BTW WillowsWarlock also has made custom prop repicas like Spikes amulet, Charmed's Book of Shadows, the Urn of Osiris, His version of the sycthe, and also Olafs Hammer, you might even be able to comminsion one if he is up to it.

^ I Agree! I have Buffy EOD Electric Tiki and it is just beautiful! Customs are also magnificat to collect!

If you didn't find anything signed that you wanted, commission a custom of anything! Or Willowswarlock replicas are amazing too!

i did some searching for Buffy stuff for agesss, then my mom phoned and decided she doesn't want to buy me anything Buffy cos she doesn't understand it or know anything about it
which i will TRY to understand

i actually had the tikis pre-ordered ages ago, then i decided to get a bunch of other Buffy stuff so i cancelled them

You should first ask for some Marilyn Manson merchandise, then when your mom says no, you agree to compromise with Buffy stuff.
