TARA: There's just so much to go through. Trust has to be built again on both sides. You have to learn if you're even the same people you were, if you can fit in each others' lives. It's a long, and important process. Can we just skip it? Can you just be kissing me now?

When Tara's at her best:
When she's with Willow, adn her confidence is just boosted when she knows she's with people who love her (ie. end of Family)

Worst moment:
Her death. heartbreaking

Final thoughts:
i love her. my second favorite character. she's just so sweet, and so good, and just a lovely person, and she finds her light and her true self brought out by Willow and the Scoobies. She becomes part of the family, and i think she is a very underrated character.

Final thoughts-I always thought that the biggest mistake Joss made on Buffy was killing Tara. Her gentle sweetness and strength provided the grounding that the other characters needed. I do like Kennedy-I think she and Tara would have been friends-but I've never stopped thinking that it was a mistake to kill Tara. And I never will...

Of course, I love Tara's song in "Once More With Feeling" ... GAHH! So the sweetest ever, but it's kinda ruined by Willow's total deceit. So... My second favorite Tara moment:

When Tara's at her best:

When she defends Willow in "Older and Faraway", that was her strongest moment, and it made me all warm and fuzzy... and also in "Seeing Red" when she and Willow are lying in Bed talking about Buffy and Spike.

Worst moment:

Of course, the worst moment is when she dies but... I think the most tragic part in Tara's role was in Tough Love when Glory was holding her hand and she thought it was Willow... ehh... SOOOO sad!!!

Final thoughts:

All I want for every christmas and birthday to come is for Tara to come back in the Buffy comics... PLEASE!!!!!!!

Oh my god, I love Tara so much. What's it been? 7 years now and I still haven't gotten over her death. Damn Joss for killing her.

i love all those moments! Entropy and the first 37 minutes of Seeing Red are my favorite episodes!

Favorite Moment: Pretty much all of New Moon Rising, especially with the "Do what makes you... h-h-happy..." and the extra flamey scene. Other faves are the end of Family, and of course Under Your Spell!

When Tara's at her best: She definitely starts becoming stronger in season 6. I really like the scene with her and Dawn getting lunch, hee!

Worst moment: "Your shirt..."

Final thoughts: Tara is tied for my first favorite Buffyverse character. She's *definitely* the one I can relate to most, that's for sure. Killing her might have added an interesting twist in the story, but I think it was a huge mistake.

Favorite Moment:

The end of Family when Tara's cousin sarcastically asks if she's happy now and Tara just smiles at her. That was such a lovely moment for her.

Honorable mentions include: Tara wants Willow to be happy (New Moon Rising), Thumb war with Dawn (Real Me), Big Pineapple (Listening to Fear), Tara giving Willow an ultimatum (Tabula Rasa), Tara & Willow reunite (Enthopy).

When Tara's at her best:

I think Tara is at her best during Season 6 when she & Willow broke up. That was when we got to see how strong Tara had become, watch her go solo for awhile, and got to see that she is an amazing character whether she is with Willow or not.

Worst moment:

Honestly when Season 4 was first airing I had doubts about Tara's intentions. She came off as someone who was hiding something (mostly from Goodbye Iowa and after). Of course later on that was explained, but until Family aired I was suspicious of her.

Final thoughts:

Tara was such a great character. It didn't happen immediately but I grew to love her and her relationship with Willow. I don't care if it would be ridiculous, I would be so happy to see Tara become a part of Season 8.

Tara's my favorite female character. I really wish we had gotten to see her more.

Favorite Moment: When she told Willow off in Tabula Rasa. "Do you think I'm stupid? I know you used that spell on me. " Considering that she grew up with a abusive family, that was strong, that she said no. When she stood up to Glory is a close second.

When Tara's at her best: Protecting the ones she loved.

Worst moment: I can't really think of one. I wasn't even mad at her for doing the spell at the scoobies in Family.

Final thoughts: I can't say that I feel that strongly about her character, even tough she's my favorite female character. She's pretty vanilla, but I really recognized myself in her. She's shy, she doesn't have the best memories of her family(mine is a LOT better tough) and she's not the skinniest one around. I wish I got to see more of her.

Favorite Moment:
Standing up to Willow in Tabula Rasa. I always liked her character, but this moment is when I really fell in love with her. She had some great moments, but a lot of the time it seemed like she was just "Willow's girlfriend", so I really loved that she overcame that during this moment. "Do you think I'm stupid? I know you used that spell on me." So good!

When Tara's at her best:
I think she was at her best during the later half of Season 6, when she really became her own character. Also like her revelation in Season 5 where she realizes she is part of the gang. There is such a huge difference from how she acted in Family to her next episode, Shadow. And of course, killing Razor in Bargaining.

Worst moment:
Something in Seeing Red, and no not her death. I am always shocked when she tells Willow that Buffy is sleeping with Spike, really never expected her to do something like that, as she said to Buffy in Dead Things.

Final thoughts:
Such a great character, a lot of heart. Loved seeing how much she grew from where she started in Hush, when she could barely speak in public, to where she ended up in Seeing Red.

Favorite Moment: Under Your Spell, although the ends of Family and Entropy get me all warm and fuzzy, too.

When Tara's at her best: Around mid season 6, when she really starts to branch out and become her own character instead of just Willow's love interest.

Worst moment: "Your shirt..."

Final thoughts: I love Tara, and was reminded just how great she was when I was making this post. Why'd Joss have to go and kill her?

I totally agree!! Joss really let Tara spread her wings in the 6th season... Especially by letting her interact more with other characters than just willow. Her interactions with Buffy, Spike, and Anya in "Older and Faraway" are such a revelation!! You can really see her potential... And she also becomes more of a mother figure to Dawn, which I think is an important part of the season.

I have to say that initially I wasnt a big fan of Tara but grew to love her character as the series developed. I didnt like the stuttering, shy Tara but once she becomes more of a scoobie and she gets more involved with the other characters, I think she's brilliant!

I agree with you B - nice catchy name, I like it - it took a while with Tara at first. However, looking back now at the stuttering Tara, I love her right from the beginning. How 'bout you? Can you enjoy Season 4 Tara now you know how she turns out?
