The other day, I just had to watch The Body. IDK why. lol And last night I had to watch Passion. I love that episode. And once in a while Ill pop in OMWF. But for Angel, I always watch A Hole In The World and Shells together every now and then. Also, Shiny Happy People, and Magic Bullet. ;D

I thought about it and I will rarely just sit and watch a random episode. Usually when I want to watch, I will just do a complete Buffyverse re-watch. The only episodes I will watch out of order are all of my personal favorites:
Spin the Bottle, A Hole in the World, Not Fade Away, The Body or Once More With Feeling.

I quite often have cravings for random episodes, and not just the big important ones. Last week I had a sudden desire to watch "Somnambulist". Thoroughly enjoyed it too.

My mom and I will have weird moments when we both will look at each other and be thinking the same thing: We need to watch OMWF! NOW! haha but otherwise the few episodes I watch randomly are pretty much consistent: The Pack, The Prom, This Year's Girl+Who Are You, Buffy VS. Dracula, Weight of the World, Life Serial, OMWF, Normal Again, Lies My Parents Told Me
..good lord I love this show far too much to be sane!!

I always have cravings! I can look at my box set of Buffy and feel not in the mood for one season or the other, but I'm usually craving a certain year. A lot of the time I go to Passion, Becoming, Parts 1 & 2, or anything Spike-heavy. I love a lot of Season Two, especially to see Angelus. If I'm in a cruddy mood, I always watch The Gift. It lets me cry and then I feel better because I admire Buffy so much. If I'm in need of motivation, I watch Chosen. The music at the end gives me chills and gives me encouragement, as silly as that may sound. Plus I always get choked up when I watch it at the end, because I'm in denial that it ended, just like you, Raz

I totally get random cravings too, lol! My faves to just pop in are The Body, Touched, OMWF, Tabula Rasa, The Zeppo, Hush, End of Days/Chosen (must be watched together lol), Enemies, Something Blue, The Yoko Factor, Selfless, Triangle, Grave, and probably a bunch more I can't think of right now

I often get Crush-cravings. I'm usually not a Spuffy fan (it's starting to grow on me) but there's something about that episode. I guess I like seeing Spike vulnerable or something, that episode is just so easy to watch.
I get the same cravings for Passion sometimes. When Jenny throws that cleaning-lady-cart-thing on Angelus I'm on needles. And then I'm very sad.
Then there's of course the randoms scenes. It's frustrating that I can't click on a button and change from a scene on Chosen to a seen in Earshot. I have to find the damn disc, put it on, jump to the scene, finish watching it, just to realize that now I want to see Anya's speech in The Body. And then I want to watch Giles sing.
Frustrating, yet no weird considering that Buffy's a brilliant show.

I'm exactly the same, I also go through cravings for entire seasons or character arcs. Last month I went through a craving for "Angel goes dark" episodes and watched any Ats s2 episode I could, of him doing some morally dubious act. The other month I had a craving for Btvs s2, especially the episodes focusing on Angelus and couldn’t bare to watch any other episode. I just had to see them ones only.
Right now I had a sudden craving for 'Apocalypse Nowish' and have watched it yesterday and again today. Last week it was 'Darla' and 'Fool For Love,' both of which I watched several times throughout the week. Before that it was ‘The Prom’ which was great fun for me because although I've always loved that episode and season three is without a doubt my favourite season, I don't watch that ep anywhere near as much as I watch others. So whilst I knew practically every scene and line off by heart, it was still kind of "fresh" for me. At least by a hardcore Buffy fan's standards. Nothing's fresh when you've watched every episode like a gazillion times ;D
The most common craving for me is watching ‘Graduation Parts I & II.’ It’s without a doubt my most common “I have to watch that episode!” I think it’s because of the Buffy/Faith showdown, the students Vs the Mayor, Angel/Buffy bite scene ect. There’s just so much goodness. It’s odd because ‘Passion’ is my favourite Buffyverse episode so I’d think that would be the one I need to watch more.
What I do hate is when I really feel like watching an episode, I pop it in, sit back and then... I don't want to watch it anymore. It happened to me with 'Conviction' the other day. I just suddenly didn't feel into that particular episode or season, which was so odd because I had really craved watching it. The only other thing worse than that is when I look at my Btvs and Ats boxsets and just don't fancy watching any episode... I hate it when I go through days like that ;D

I tend to be more like Wyndam, in that I am always marathoning the whole thing - every three weeks or so, mrkittyfantastico and I get in the beers and chinese takeout (and ice cream lol) and watch about 12 hours of Buffy together. We're up to the end of S5 at the moment, and will prob crack on with it on saturday (hurrah!). But not long ago, after reading something on the Cordy Appreciation thread, I realised just how much i love her in Reptile Boy, and sure enough, end of the day it went straight in my DVD player and high jinx ensued!

Of course there are certain episodes (in both Buffy and Angel) that fit sepcial occassions and that I watch according to mood and/or condition.
When I am in for something funny, I tend to watch "Bewitched, Bothered and Bewildered" or "Hush" or "Smile Time", when I am in for a good sob "A Hole in the World", "Touched" or "Not Fade Away", when I need something philosophical "Lie to Me" and "Prophecy Girl".
That's the magic about Buffy and Angel, I guess. Very intense shows, capturing a great variety of moods, emotions and states.

I'm not the only one that does then, then? ;D
I get cravings out of nowhere to watch an ep. It's the weirdest thing ever. The only other show I ever did this with was Xena, like a million years ago when I only had the eps on clunky VHS tapes all full of commercials and weather bulletins. But now I've got them ripped to my hard drive, from my DVDs, so literally I can just watch them whenever.
My most recent one was kinda funny, I got a sudden urge to watch Welcome to the Hellmouth, then about 15 minutes into that I decided I simply must re-read Origins, then just as I started issue 2, I suddenly needed to watch Bargaining. Then about 10 minutes into that, the 'craving' switch went off just as fast as it went on and I went off and did something else. It was like Buffy ADD day.
Something else I get a craving for is watching Buffy while I'm drifting off to sleep. Most of the time I listen to music while I'm dozing off, but I have a handheld video player so I sometimes stick things on it to watch.

Oh, I get such episode cravings! And sometimes, they're not even for episodes I particularly like...like last week, I just had this need to watch A New Man, which I really don't like all that much. And today, I feel the need to watch Who Are You?. I guess I really am an addict.

This (obviously). Before I started this marathoning session with gumnome last Summer, my trend was that every 9 months or so I'd spend about 3 months watching all 7 Seasons of Buffy followed by all 5 Seasons of Angel. I'd watch roughly one disc a day, which would take me about a week to get through a Season (after factoring in an extra day between the last season's end and the start of the next season to make myself extra excited when I popped in that first disc). Yeah, I'm weird <_< Anyway, this is mostly because I find it very hard to watch singular episodes of Buffy/Angel, simply because I get so sucked into the universe and the universe at that particular time. It may be a reasonably episodic programme, but when I'm there, I'm there. It's nice to spend 3 months just being completely and utterly sucked into the Buffyverse. I always felt sad after Not Fade Away finished, but the joy of starting Welcome To The Hellmouth and knowing I had another 3 months in the Buffyverse would never fail to incredibly lift my spirits. < /crazy guy>

"Reptile Boy" is a great Cordelia episode. It's not that great of an episode overall, but there's so many classic Cordy moments that I always enjoy watching it.

I usually get cravings not for random episodes, but rather whole seasons. Like if there is a particular season of Buffy or Angel I feel like watching I will just pop it in. I rarely watch the seasons in order but am wanting to watch the whole series over from beginning to end someday soon. I would say season 2 of Buffy is the one I have watched the most, as it seems to be my absolute fave for some reason. I also love season 5 of Angel. I actually haven't watched Buffy in a few months but have been craving the episodes. I miss it and really want to get back into watching it. You know what they say, absence makes the heart grow fonder. I find that when I haven't had a chance to watch Buffy in a while and I pop a disc in, it just makes it feel all the more special. There is just something about Buffy that no matter how many times you've seen all the episodes (a gazillion times for me) it still retains that magic that you felt upon seeing the episodes for the first time.
