Shivi, I really liked your poem! Thanks for sharing. I tried to read it too and I just uploaded the video on Youtube but let's be honest, it sounds nowhere close as nice as your recording. Your German accent really goes well with the poem, whereas my video is... kinda weird. It's like I'm totally taking this poem way too seriously!! First I didn't want to make a video, just a recording, but it wouldn't upload to youtube so I had to film myself while reading, which is distracting for the listener... anyway. Here it is, but it's odd looking/sounding!

Oh my God!!! Are you kidding? I love your voice! And I'm not just saying that to be nice, I'm not like that. I do like your voice a lot and you don't sound gay at all. Now I don't know if you tried to control your gayness in this recording but let me tell you that many of my gay friends sound a lot gayer than that. You don't sound gay at all. Unless you are one of those few Americans who haven't lost their sanity and who don't get turned on by the French accent. Thank God we still have some of those good people out there. Gosh I hate the French accent! Gosh I hate myself. Gosh I wish I were a care bear living in Care-a-Lot with a carebeary accent, everything would be so much easier. |

You are a lost cause then. I can understand that people think foreign accents are kinda hot, but the French accent should be at the bottom of the list. It is way overrated!!! You don't think it's annoying how we assume that everything can just be pronounced the French way (the u's, the r's, the "th" sound, etc)? People should come to their senses.

I want to know what you guys find so incredibly seeeexyyyyy about the way we mispronounce everything. I can understand that the Italian accent has a little something, or other latino type accent, the northern accents are very soft and in the end a lot more bearable too, but why the French accent? |
