Buffy raced against the strong, gusting wind in the middle of the night. Her legs sore from chasing a vampire for half an hour. It seemed she was too out of breath, and she would simply fall to the ground when she could stop. Gaining on the vamp, she placed her foot on the top of a gravestone and launched herself through the air, landing on the vampire. The fell to the ground with "THUD." Buffy hurriedly got up. The vampire punched her, then kneed her in the stomach. Buffy did a back flip, kicking the vamp in the face in the process. Buffy spun around and punched the vampire, making him fly backwards into a wall. She ran to the vampire and grabbed him by the arm. Buffy reached into her pocket, retrieved the stake, and thrust it into the vamps heart. He turned to dust. "That's the last time I chase a vampire in a skirt." Buffy muttered as she looked down at her legs. She slowly walked away. CHAPTER 2: Buffy walked through the door to her house. She walked up the stairs and turned to her bedroom. The door creaked as she opened the door. Buffy jumped when the door slammed. She walked to her closet and opened the door. Carefully taking off her coat, she placed it on a hanger and replaced it in the closet. Buffy was too exhausted to get undressed, so she plopped on the bed, took off her shoes, and covered herself up with the soft blanket. ***************************** The morning light awakened Buffy. She sat up and rubbed the sleep from her eyes. Sighing, she got up from the bed and walked down to the living room. Willow Rosenberg was sitting on the couch in black pants, a red tank top, and white boots. Her flaming red hair was in a pony-tail. Xander Harris was sitting opposite Willow with Buffy's little sister Dawn. "Oh, hey Buffy," Willow said as Buffy entered. "When did you get home?" "I don't know, but I do know that it was really late." Buffy replied. A scream shattered the silence. It came from the kitchen. Buffy, Willow, Xander, and Dawn ran to the kitchen. Two vampires were in the kitchen. Faith Lehane, the second slayer, was on the ground, unconscious. Anya Jenkins, Xanders ex-girlfriend, was against the wall. Buffy ran and vaulted herself on the counter top. She kicked one vampire in the face, and then flipped off the counter behind the second vampire. The vampire swung around, his fist in the air. Buffy ducked as the fist swung at her. She threw her leg around and caught the vamps feet. He crashed into the floor. The first vampire grabbed Buffy around her waist and flung her across the kitchen. She hit the wall, denting it, and she fell to the floor. Buffy looked up as a vampire walked to her, grabbed her by the arm, and punched her again. The second vampire ran to Dawn and grabbed. Willow and Xander ran forward to rescue her. The vampire swung his fist and hit Willow square in the face. She flew out of the kitchen and landed in the living room, a huge CRASH echoed. Xander was hit in the nose and fell to the ground. "Dawn!" Buffy screamed. Dawn was struggling and punching, and kicking. Buffy was held back by the first vampire. She slammed he foot on the vampires foot and elbowed his ribs as Dawn was being forced out of the kitchen door, into the daylight. HOW ARE THEY NOT TURNING TO DUST!? Buffy thought. She raced through the door and followed Dawn and the vampire. As she gained on them, the vampire turned around and screamed, "Rogelio!" A jet of green light flew at Buffy. A searing pain burst into her whole body. She screamed in pain and the next thing she knew, she was flying in the air, trees and the sky flying past her. She slammed into a tree and slid to the ground. Dawn was gone. CHAPTER 3: Willow awakened. She was lying on the debris of the broken table. She moved her right arm and felt a sharp pain explode in her arm. It was broken. "Xander!" Willow called. "Xander!" She repeated. Xander entered the living room. "Will, are you okay?" He asked. Willow shook her head. "No, my arm is broken." Willow said. Xander assisted Willow in the difficult task of getting on her feet. "Where's Buffy?" Willow asked. "Oh no." Xander said. "Oh no what?" Willow said. Xander raced through the kitchen, out the door, and ran down the street. He was looking frantically for Buffy, his best friend. There she was, unconscious on the floor, by a tree. "Buffy! Buffy!" Xander ran to his bud, shaking her. Buffy shook awake. "What THE HECK happened!" She asked (I wanted to use the H E double-L- word, but, no swearing) "I don't know. I didn't see where y-you went. All I seen was you running out the door." "Xander, Dawn! She's gone. They took her!" Buffy exclaimed. "Buffy, we'll find her, I know we will." "How?" Buffy said. Xander shook his head. "Common Buff." He reached out his hand and pulled Buffy to her feet. They walked, together, home. They entered the living room and seen a huge rock on the floor, with paper to it. Buffy and Xander looked at each other. This could only mean one thing: There was information on where Dawn was. Buffy walked forward to the rock, and picked it up, as though it was a delicate bird. She unwrapped the paper and read over the paper: "If you want your little sister back, come and get her. But, to let you know, someone that you thought was on your side has switched to our side. We are waiting. It's wise not to come and get the girl, you might not live to walk through the doors of this hideout. 56794, F Street Come alone, and die alone." Buffy read it aloud. "Xander, why would they give away the address like that? It must be a trap." Buffy said. Xander looked down at his feet. "Buffy, I agree. It's a trap. There's one person that I know has switched sides and-" "Xander," Buffy interrupted, "Xander! That's enough. I know that Spike tried to....do that, but, he failed, and he won't hurt me again, he can't have betrayed us." Xander shook his head. "Buffy, promise me that you won't go. You can get killed! I'm worried about you, Buff. I don't want you to die, your my friend." Buffy looked Xander in his eyes, "Xander, it wouldn't be the first, or the second, time that I've died. If I do, I know that I have family and friends, and I am not going to lose that. That includes Dawn, I am getting my sister back!" "But-" "No, Xander! I am getting her back! If I die, life will go on! I have Faith to back me up. But, I'll find a way to come back to my family and friends. But, I am not leaving Dawn to die without knowing that I love her and that I Will protect her!" "Buff!" Xander said. Buffy stuffed the paper inside her pocket, grabbed her jacket, and opened the door. "Buffy, please don't do this!" "Xander, I have to, and you need to understand that." Buffy walked out the door, and hopefully to Dawn. CHAPTER 4: Buffy arrived at the broken down warehouse where Dawn was supposedly being held captive. She climbed the fence and ran to the door. She could hear Dawn screaming! Buffy flew at the door and tuck and rolled inside. There they were. Dawn was tied to a pole, surrounded by 50 or more vampires. A vampire dropped from ahead and landed on Buffy. They fell with a thud. Buffy flipped up, kicked the vampire in the face, and broke a chair that was lying beside her. She grabbed the leg and thrust it into the vamps heart. She turned around. "You really shouldn't have touched my sister, cause now, your going to pay. Big time." A huge chunk of the vamps ran, ran, and ran out of the warehouse. Obviously to scared. After everyone that wanted to leave had departed, there was only about fifteen vampires left. Buffy ran forward. She punched two vamps in the face with her fists. A vampire punched her cheek. Buffy kicked a vampire, making him fly. She punched another one, and kicked another in the stomach. She punched him in the face. For some odd reason, they all backed away. One by one, the vampires moved forward to battle Buffy. They obviously thought that this would make a good boxing game, just with more violence. After Buffy eliminated the last vampire, she ran to Dawn. "Dawn!" Buffy said. Tears were streaming down Dawn's face. BAM! Buffy was hit by a strong force and flew back. She banged into the wall and hit the floor. "You can't stop me slayer!" Buffy looked up. There was a vampire. He grabbed Dawn. "BUFFY!" Dawn screamed. Buffy launched up and ran to the vampire. She jumped at him and landed on the ground. He disappeared. Buffy sat there. Stunned. She started to cry. To sob. She was close to getting Dawn back, and then she was set back a long way. Buffy got up and walked out of the building, and to her house. When she opened her door, she was so exhausted that she fell to the floor and fell asleep. CHAPTER 5: "Buffy!" Willow exclaimed. She crouched beside Buffy and picked her up. Willow set her on the bed. "Buffy?" Buffy slowly awakened and sat up. "Why were you on the floor?" Willow asked. "Willow, Dawn is gone! I found her, but she was taken. Again!" Buffy said. Buffy suddenly jumped up and ran to the window. "Buffy, what're you doing?" Willow asked. Buffy didn't answer. She flung herself out of the window. "BUFFY!" Willow shouted. Buffy rolled down the roof and hit the ground. She got up and ran to full speed to the building where Dawn was so abruptly snatched again. ************************ Buffy arrived at the building. There was a truck in the driveway. Buffy walked a little closer and saw Dawn laying in the back of the truck. She was hand-cuffed to the bars of the window. "Dawn!" Buffy whispered. Voices came, like out of thin air, towards Buffy and Dawn. Buffy ducked and two men came to the passenger and driver door. They opened it and got inside. The truck started and Buffy launched into the back of the truck and landed by Dawn. The truck drove away, with Dawn and Buffy inside it. They arrived at a beach, a deserted beach. The truck stopped and the two vampires got out. It was dark and quiet until one of the men said, "Grab the girl." A face appeared above Buffy, and Buffy kicked him in the face. She grabbed a stick and launched it into his heart. She spun around and punched the other vamp in the face. She then kicked the hand-cuff again and again, finally managing to break them. Buffy grabbed Dawn and kissed her cheek. "Dawn, stay in the truck." Buffy instructed. Dawn screamed. Buffy was pulled out of the truck and was flung to the ground. Buffy was kicked in face and thrown against the truck. She got up and did a roundhouse kick. The vampire punched her in the cheek, and then in the nose. His fist connected with her stomach and his knee rammed into her face. Buffy kicked his stomach, then his face. He threw his fist at Buffy, but she raised her arm to block it. Then she kneed his ribs and punched his left cheek. The vampire grabbed her and rammed his head into the forehead. She staggered and fell to the floor. The vampire jumped over her and pinned her to the ground by grabbing her arms and forced them to the ground. He leaned forward and sank his teeth into her neck, drinking her blood. HOW CAN I GET OUT? "Buffy thought. CHAPTER 6: Buffy felt the sharp fangs dig into her skin. She felt the loss of blood. She didn't have the strength to get him off! Buffy's life, friends, and family literally flashed before her eyes. She wouldn't see them again, never. The next thing Buffy knew, the vampire was turning to dust on top of her. Buffy looked up to see Dawn, holding a sharp piece of wood. Buffy forced herself to get up again. She grabbed Dawn's hand and led her to the truck. "Dawn, get in." Buffy said. Buffy walked to the drivers side and got in, started the engine, and drove away. *********************************************** Buffy pulled into the driveway of her home. She got out of the car, opened Dawn's door, and carried her inside the house. She set her down on the couch. Buffy walked into the kitchen. "Buffy! Did you get her? Why are you bleeding?" Willow asked. "Yes, I got her. I got bit by a vampire, and Dawn killed him." Buffy replied. Willow and Giles, Buffy's slayer trainer, looked at each other. Giles walked over to Buffy. "Buffy, are you sure you're all right?" Buffy nodded, "Yeah, Giles. I'm fine. But, there is a lot more vampires that were in the plan to get Dawn." "So?" Xander said. "Well, that means that the one that were left could have easily followed us and will make another move to get Dawn. I just don't know why they want so much!" 'Well, Buffy...They probably want to get to you, and kill the slayer once and for all." Willow suggested. Buffy nodded. "Your right, Will. They know I'll do anything for Dawn." Buffy said. Suddenly, there was a crash and a scream. Buffy ran to the living room, everybody behind her. There was Faith, on the floor, with a vampire holding her down. Dawn was on the couch covered in glass. "You get Dawn!" Buffy said. Willow ran to Dawn and helped her off the couch. Willow looked out the broken window. There was a crowd of vampires, moving towards the house. She was frozen. Dawn looked out too, and screamed. Buffy kicked the vampire off of Faith and punched him. Faith flipped up and kicked the vampire in the face. Then Buffy and Faith both punched him on the same side of the face, causing him to fall onto the table and lay unconscious. "Buffy, the vampires are coming, right now!" Willow said. Buffy moved to the window. She seen a huge crowd of vampires surrounding the house, moving closer. Suddenly, headlights pierced their eyes. The engine roared. And was speeding towards the house...Right where Dawn, Buffy and Willow were. "RUN!" Buffy screamed. Dawn, Willow, and Buffy ran just one centimeter out of the way of the window when the truck crashed through. They were still running. The truck was following. Destroying everything in the house! Buffy, Xander, Giles, Willow, Dawn, and Faith were running full speed out the back door, down the street, and to the graveyard. Going to the graveyard isn't the smartest choice, but they can hide there. The truck was lost when the gang jumped behind a tree and the truck kept going forward. Then, the ran back the direction they came, and turned into the graveyard. CHAPTER 7: It was silent. Wind was strongly blowing. The only people, living or dead, in the graveyard were Buffy, Faith, Giles, Willow, Xander, and Dawn. They didn't know exactly where they were going. They were just walking forward, and forward. "Buffy, what if they check here too?" Dawn asked. "I'm sure that they would think we'd go to a graveyard during this situation Dawnie." Dawn was silent. "Ahhh!" Buffy screamed as arms wrapped around her waist. "Buffy!" Willow screamed. Buffy's head hit a crypt as the vampire dropped her. "Ropeliy!" Willow screamed. A vine line of rope exploded out of her finger tips and wrapped around the vampire, pushing him to a tree and tying him there. Buffy got up."Run!" Buffy said. They all ran full speed ahead, not stopping. Buffy looked back and gasped. There was the truck, a long way a way, but getting closer. Buffy ran ahead of them, "Follow me!" Buffy continued running. She saw a door stopped. She kicked it open and let everybody in. She shut the door. "Buffy, what is this?" Willow asked. "A crypt." Buffy answered. Buffy walked over to a grave and slid the lid off. "Dawn, get in here with Willow!" Buffy said. Dawn and Willow climbed inside and Buffy picked up the lid and replace it, but made a little space for air. "Giles and Xander, hide behind it, now!" Buffy instructed. The truck was getting louder! Buffy braced herself. Her heart was racing. Buffy stood next to the door. About 1 minutes went by before the truck sounded like it was right by her...And it was. A door opened. CRASH! A fist flew through the stone door of the crypt, catching Buffy's face. She hit the ground. The vampire grabbed her neck and suspended her in the air, chocking her. Buffy kicked him in the chest and he dropped her. Buffy got up and did a cart-wheel, kicking the vampire. She flung her right fist at his left cheek. The vampire kicked Buffy in the ribs and punched her. He grabbed her head and hit it against the grave. Buffy punched him twice in the face, and was suddenly hit in the face from beside her. Buffy flew into a wall. "Hey B. Forget about me?" Faith said. Faith walked over to Buffy and kicked her in the face. Buffy got up and punched Faith twice in the face and kicked her in the stomach. Faith elbowed Buffy in the face and jumped in the air, kicking Buffy twice in the face. Buffy turned and ran up the wall, flipping off it and landing behind Faith. Faith turned, flinging her fist at Buffy. Buffy ducked and immediately stood back up and kicked Faith in the nose. Faith grabbed Buffy's hair and punched her repeatedly in the face. Buffy gathered all her strength in one arm and hit Faith square in the middle of the face. Faith flew backwards and went through the cement wall. Suddenly, Buffy felt a searing pain in her stomach. and looked down to see a sword sticking out of her stomach. Blood was dripping down from it. It was ripped out and Buffy fell forward. Dead.
Willow used magic to the lift the lid off the grave and slam into the vampire that had killed Buffy. She and Dawn climbed out. Willow ran to Buffy. "Buffy! No!" Willow sobbed. Tears ran down her eyes. Dawn ran to Giles, and they cried for Buffy. Faith got up, from under the pile of cement. Dawn ran to Faith and smacked her across the face. "That was a huge mistake, shrimp." Faith punched Dawn across the face. "Fotio!" Willow screamed! A orange light wrapped around Faith, making her unable to do anything.
Willow went back to Buffy and used all the magic she knew to bring Buffy back...But it won't happen. ******************************** Buffy was floating in a silent world. A white world. She hit the ground. Buffy grunted. She got up and was startled to see her mother, Joyce. "Mom?" Buffy said. Joyce smiled. "It's me, honey." Joyce said. Buffy and Joyce hugged. "Am I in heaven?" Buffy asked. Joyce nodded. "Yes, Buffy. But, you won't be for long." "What?" Buffy said. "No! I don't want to leave. Mom, I want to stay here, with you!" Buffy said. Buffy knew she was acting like a little girl, but her mom was dead, and Buffy didn't want to me grabbed away from her again.
"Honey, your friends need you down there. You need to help them. Help Dawn." Joyce said. "Get some rest, and then you will go back, back to where your friends are." Buffy and Joyce hugged again. Suddenly, Joyce was gone and suddenly a bed, white of course, was beside her. Buffy sat down on it and cried. She cried like she never had before. And then she fell into a deep sleep.
"Honey." Joyce said. Buffy was shook awake. "Buffy, it's time to go back." Buffy nodded. "Okay." Buffy got up and hugged her mother, for the last time in about 30 years. "Honey, just remember that I love you. You will find your way back to me." "I know, Mom." Buffy said.
"Tell Dawn that I love her, and I miss her. I love you Buffy. But right now, your friends and your sister need you with them." A door appeared behind Joyce. Buffy peered around Joyce's shoulder and Joyce nodded. "Yes, Buffy. That door will lead you to your destiny." Joyce said. Buffy kissed her mother on the cheek and walked to the door. Buffy paused at the doorway. She turned around, and looked at her mother. "Bye mom. I love you." Buffy said, and walked out the door.
CHAPTER 8: Buffy suddenly woke up, laying face down. She turned over. "Buffy!" Dawn screamed and ran to Buffy. She hugged Buffy really hard. Willow came walking to Buffy, "Buffy, are you okay? What happened?" Buffy smiled. "Trust, I'll tell you later, right now, I wanna kill Faith! Where is she?" Buffy said. "I'm right here B." Faith said. Buffy turned around, and there was Faith. Faith ran forward, did a cart-wheel and kicked Willow in the face, making her fall and hit the grave. Buffy jumped up and punched Faith in the face. She blocked Faith's punch and kneed her in the stomach, then elbowed her nose. Faith blocked Buffy's next punch and punched Buffy twice, then jumped and swung her right and left leg at Buffy's face one after the other, striking Buffy down.
Buffy groaned. Faith kicked Buffy in the stomach and punched her in the face. Buffy jumped up and kicked Faith in the stomach. Then she punched her. Faith grabbed Buffy and threw her across the crypt and into the wall. Buffy couldn't get up, she was too weak. Faith ran to her and kicked her in the face. She grabbed Buffy and kicked her through the hard stone wall, and Buffy was covered in the bricks and dirt of a crypt.
While Buffy and Faith had been fighting, Willow had performed magic on herself to make her be able to fight like a slayer. Willow walked to Faith and tapped her shoulder. Faith swung around, her fist ready to punch. Willow ducked and jumped up. She punched Faith and kicked her in the stomach. They started circling each other. "This is going to be very easy. I will kill you in about 20 seconds." Willow said. Faith laughed. "I really doubt it, Red." Faith said. "Oh, yeah? Watch me." Willow replied. She did a cart-wheel and landed by the sword that had been plunged inside Buffy's stomach. She lunged at Faith, the sword piercing her in the chest. Willow punched Faith, and Faith lay motionless on the floor. "Dawn, I am going to take everyone else home, okay?" Willow said. She walked over to Giles and Xander. They grabbed her hands.
Suddenly, they disappeared. A spilt seconds later, Willow reappeared. "Willow, where did you put them, the house is destroyed!" Dawn said. "Don't worry, I gave them a spell to do to recreate the house, exactly as it was."
Willow ran to where Buffy was covered in stone. Buffy was already getting up. ***************** Buffy, Dawn, and Willow walked away...they didn't know where they would go, but at least they had Dawn back.
CHAPTER 9: Buffy, Dawn and Willow walked through the door of Buffy's remade house. Dawn went straight to bed, Willow and Buffy sat on the couch. "Buffy, I killed Faith...With the same weapon that killed you. What happened when you died?" Buffy sighed. "When I fell forward, I thought that I would never you guys again, and everything that we've all been through flashed before my eyes. I was in a white world. My mom was there." Buffy said. Tears were going down her eyes.
"My mom told me how much that you guys needed me down here. She said that I needed to be there, with people I love. She opened a door to let me through, to this dimension again." Buffy continued. She was still crying. Willow was sitting there, quietly crying too. Buffy and Willow hugged and started to walk up the stairs. "Will, Faith will be back, you know that right?" Buffy said. Willow nodded. "At least we have Dawn. It's only been a couple days, but it feels like a year." They departed and went into their rooms.
That night, at the Summers' house, everyone was sleeping peacefully, and they were a family again.
