Nah I think it's gonna go to Tuesday why would it go to Friday again? Because they are stupid and I hate them ;D lol I think the main reason is because next season is getting an even lower budget. They know that whatever they put on Friday nights wont get viewers so they would rather put on a reasonably cheaper show such as Dollhouse. Damn I hate FOX. I'm so happy! I said to myself I would make a Dollhouse fansite if it got renewed so I guess after exams I'll be doing that!! We should launch a campaign so it's not on Friday's though.

Yay!!!! This is so great! I'm so happy that FOX was good to Joss (or as good as they could be) and renewed it! Now I'll have to catch up on the end of the season....this is fantastic! At least we have one more year of Joss on tv

I wasn't sitting in the Fox boardroom when they made this decision (I wish I was), but regarding the issue of putting Dollhouse back on Friday nights:
I think Fox is actively working toward a post-Nielsens TV world, and one of the first steps is to make Friday nights their experimental "new media night." That's where they're putting shows that will crap out in the Nielsens, but do well in downloads, DVR viewings, and DVD sales. Since Friday is every network's worst night, Fox is basically saying they don't really care about the Nielsens anymore on that night. I'm sure they'd like to see Dollhouse's overnight numbers go up from where they stand now, but they know Joss shows have a history of picking up a head of steam around season 2.
That's also why I still have a shred of hope for a T:SCC renewal. That show has ratings comparable to Dollhouse, a similarly passionate fan following, similarly good download and DVR numbers and DVD sales... plus it's cheaper than DH and has a tie-in to a major movie franchise.
I could imagine Fox bringing both back, pairing them up on Fridays again, and saying "don't worry about getting huge Nielsens... just keep pulling in those new media numbers, making money off the back end, and making us look like the Cool Forward-Thinking Network."

I've been avidly following the renewal conundrum, and I'm so glad it's finally decided that the series will come back for another season. Instead of focusing on all the drama of cancellation, we can move past that and get to working up theories for the new season, new characters, new missions, and the new big bad.
I loved the extra 10 minutes of awesomeness, but for Dollhouse the loss could certainly work as an advantage point from which Joss can make the writing more concise, the dialogue tighter, among other things. I'm with Andrew on why Fox would choose to keep Dollhouse on Friday nights, but I could also see it doing quite well if paired up with a strong series like Fringe which despite it's strong sci-fi base (especially towards the season finale), has never dipped below 7 million viewers and hit 12 and 13 million viewers quite frequently for a new series.

I agree. If T:SCC isn't renewed, I'd like to see it paired with Fringe. Mooch off that viewership cow.

omg i am speechless. never ever thought this could ever happen but:
[glow=red,2,300]WOW[/glow]
i'm so happy.
Monday will be an interesting day to see what Fox says about Dollhouse's renewal and their reasons for it.
imo - Fox gave up on ttscc b/c season 2 creatively was not so good, whereas Dollhouse's final half was awesome (which apparently helped since there were execs that are fans based on some reports)
