If you ask me, it's a miracle that Megan Fox is doing legit features instead of porn. And I'm sure there was a casting couch somewhere in between.
I'm just sayin'!
She's hot, but she's hot in that "wow, it'd be fun to get all of her clothes off to find out what's not plastic."

I don't necessarily agree with the ordering and a couple gals probably shouldn't be on it, buy overall it's a great list. I've actually seen almost all those characters in action and the few that I haven't seen I had definitely heard of.
I was thrilled to see Willow, Uhura & Captain Janeway on the list. They are such great characters that usually get forgotten when it comes to handing out praise.
Also I'd like to say Sarah Connor, Wonder Woman, Xena & Sydney Bristow should all be higher up on the list.
Storm (as played by Halle Barry), Catwoman, Sam Carter & Leeloo should all be lower on the list.
And Megan Fox should not be on the list at all. She is not the first chick to be seen as a mechanic in a movie and I really feel she only got on this list because she is supposedly hot. It's a waste of space, personally I'd rather have Summer Glau on that list instead.

I agree, it's a good list. I'm not sure how Buffy and Willow are sci-fi, though. Here's how I would change the ratings:
Off the list: Buffy (sorry - she's fantasy!)
Up: Uhura (c'mon, she's a trailblazer)
Down: Claire Bennett
Up: Pris
Off the list: Catwoman a la Halle Berry
Up: Janeway
Off the list: Megan Fox
Up: Susan Ivanova
Up: Number 6
Off the list: Willow (again: fantasy!)
Way Up: Wonder Woman
Off the list: Xena (love her, but again, fantasy)
Up a tad: Sydney Bristow
Off the list: Marina
LOVE that Ellen Ripley is #1, though. She definitely made a huge impression on me when I saw the first 2 Aliens movies in the theater.

Why Pris? Fair enough, she's clearly sci-fi and a woman, but she's not a strong character at all. Sex model android who can use her sexiness to manipulate a lonely man, but is essentially under the thumb of a superior male android. Unlike Roy, we never really get to see her break out of the designs set for her: she's acrobatic, theatrical and alluring. She just seems like she was along for the ride to me...
