Even though the deed wasn't mentioned nor shown I always assumed that they had. After all their relationship was mostly physical. Fooling around in her daddies car, fooling around in the janitor's closet. And well, she was mighty pissed off with Xander when he went with Williow. Also Cordy cut all ties with the cool girls, why would she do that if she wasn't intimate or going to be intimate with Xander? PLUS I think if Faith was his first she so would have made fun of him for it!! C'mon Faith was never subtle about sex so she would have mentioned him being a wee virgin.

Xander and Cordelia's abstinence was completely unrealistic, but I definitely respect Buffy for not being one of those high school shows where it's all about the sex and who's sleeping with who. I'm glad they never did.

It's unrealistic? From what I get, Cordy was the kind of girl who liked to have control, and I doubt she ever let a guy "in". At least not "there". I wonder if the guy who made her preggers in Expecting might even have been her first.
And Xander, he was whipped and Cordy was probably his first real girlfriend, so I doubt he was all that pushy, or knew how to be pushy enough to be let in.

Well it is an American high school.  When it's not about learning, it's about sex and drugs. Before school, after school, during school. Xander and Cordelia were very sexualized. The conversation in Innocence, all the making out in closets and in cars... in the real world they would've been on top of each other in seconds. |

with a show about kids in high school, especially later years, if a character hasn't lost their virginity on camera, 9 times out of 10, it's been done before... Buffy, Willow, Xander all lost theirs on camera... for Cordelia, Riley, Oz, Tara, Spike Giles, Angel, Joyce, etc. we have to assume (especially for the latter 4) that they have had sex. Well, yes, I think Joyce is pretty much a given. Oz, the dialogue makes pretty clear, is not a virgin. I doubt Riley is, either. Tara could be, however. We really don't know much about her life pre-Willow, and although there's that reference to Willow feeling like the "junior partner," there's also never any direct reference to past girlfriends. Given her painfully intense shyness when we first meet her, I think that for her to have dated anyone prior to Willow, that person would need to have had almost Kennedyesque assertiveness, otherwise things never would have gotten off the ground. |

It was made pretty clear that Xander's first time was with Faith (ick). He and Cordy had "almost" moments (like in Cordy's car) but never actually had sex.
It's not as clear, but it's implied in "Bad Eggs" and "Phases" that Cordy isn't a virgin. Plus the thought of her losing her virginity to a creeper that works for a demon is really really ick.

Why is this even a thread? It was said he lost his virginity to Faith, so what's there to discuss?
Also, in one of the special features on the first three season of Buffy that either Joss or one of the producers or writers said that Cordelia knew her way around the back of a car, so...

Of course, as the story is told, Cordelia and Xander had no sex. Still, I agree with the others, that this is not very "realistic". I always thought it was a shame that their relationship was not explored with a little more depth. They were together for quite a long time, and somehow they were presented as totally stagnant.

I don't think Xander ever says that his first experience was with Faith, but he was awkward enough about it, I'm inclined to think that it was.
Assuming that Xander and Cordelia were both virgins when they started dating, it's quite possible that they never went all the way. My feeling has always been that they never did, and both were still virgins at the end of the relationship.
Cordelia's first confirmed sexual experience was with Warren Christopher (do I remember the name right?) in "Expecting," Angel, season 1. It ends in disaster, as sexual encounters in the Buffyverse usually do.
This is an unanswered question, perhaps good material for fanfic.

Xanders like a dork and he's got Faith there haha making werid faces with her eyebrows.
And biting her lip and he's just standing there like a dork.
And it always makes me laugh when she just jumps on him
Then some cheesy music comes on and then she's like

Xanders first time was with Faith like everyone else has pointed out. Cordelia had had sex atleast by some time in season 2, I remember it was discussed in an interview. It might have been on the Chosen Collection.

Cordy and Xander never had sex (evidenced by his shock of sleeping with Faith for the first time), but I'm sure they did lots of fooling around. I think if they had not broken up, their relationship would have eventually progressed to the next level. We know that Cordy was in love with Xander and really took the breakup hard.
