my thoughts are Angel gets attack by illyria because of something he has done which will all make sense in a later issue, he was gone for a month so maybe they thought he had to abanden them.
also remember S3 buffy 'Anne' the guy was gone for one day and he came back from hell aged 70-80 years. for all we know in the real world it has been 10 secounds so no one has yet noticed unless you were in L.A that is,

Wow, didn't get around to reading the issue until today... Absolutely floored.
All the debate raging about whether he's human or not...I think Angel is absolutely human and I think the biggest tease of this came from Illryia's little time warp to different points in Angel's life... The future Angel is clearly older, as in aged. Now I'm aware they could simply be showing us a later point in which Angel has (at some other point) become human but that just wouldn't make any sense. They clearly did the time warp thing on purpose and I'm postive that's the real reason (also setting up whatever Illryia is going through)
Very interesting development here.

I still don't think he is pure human. He has to have something else going on. I would be with all the people that say he is human if I hadn't seen him get the hell beat out of him by Illryia. Plus I was also thinking about this. If his wounds are mortal then how can he be walking and doing all the things he is doing in the end of Issue 3?
Wes was stabbed one time in "Not Fade Away" and died from mortal wounds. Why wouldn't Angel if he was human?

Obviously no longer a vamp, but I really highly doubt joss would make him human....Maybe his hell is some in between state....no healing powers, but no humanity either. that would really suck. |

Okay, talk about reviving a thread!  So! I was rereading my issues, and found something very funny... When Angel asks Connor if he road the dragon, he replies, "No, it indicated that it wanted me to ride on its back, but I thought that'd be weird." BWAHAHAHA. At this time, we didn't know that Angel had named the dragon 'Cordelia'. I just thought it was a great scene moment, that you really have to go back to afterwards. xD |
