So here is the back story.... I have a cousin that is mentaly impaired. She is not able to work so she gets really into TV shows because she has alot of free time. I recomended Dollhouse to her back when it started so she added it to her DVR cue.
Well, today, I go to her parents house for her b-day party and she gives me a gift...
Neatly packaged on 5 disks I find dollhouse season 1 in HighDef! She recorded them from her DVR for me! Now, she did cut the comercials out but there are still the "Dollhouse will be back in 90 seconds" clips and such so I will still be buying the DVD set when it comes out.
So back on track...
I have been watching the series all night. I have watched 6 episodes in a row and i must say that Dollhouse is amazing when watched back to back! The story flows increadibly! When watching week-to-week I found myself slightly annoyed by paul and Mili and the whole FBI/Dollhouse plot but when you watch the episodes back to back, commercial free, the Paul/FBI story is really the glue that binds the series!
I feel like I am watching Dollhouse for the first time! It is wonderful!
Now I am megga psyched for season 2!

Since me and my friend live in the UK we watched the entire first season online and in the space of about three sleepovers. So we watched a lot of the episodes in bulk and I can definitely see where you're coming from! Fantastic show and season 2 is gonna be amazing, regardless of the budget cut!!

BuffyfanOne, I'm so glad you said what you did about Paul. I've never really found him annoying, but rather intriguing. You put it perfectly, he's part of the glue holding the season together.
Maybe I never felt like that because I bought the eps on iTunes as they came out in the US, so I have them at my fingertips, just like DVD.
Does anyone else notice this? That watching the episodes back-to-back relieves annoyance of Paul? lol

Awww what a beautiful story That is so nice of your cousin! So thoughtful and obviously put a lot of effort into it! Since I've downloaded all the dollhouse I've seen I got to watch 7 eps back to back (and haven't been able to d/l the last 5-6 yet ) but anyway, it was sooooo good. I recommend watching anything and everything that way! Even HIMYM is better back to back than on TV. It's so awesome emersing yourself in a diegesis such as the one Joss creates....sooo much to explore!

secret scooby, she is such a kind person, you are right. her and i are the same age so i try to make it a point to include her with the rest of the cousins. she can be dificult some of the times but she has really come out of her shell lately and i really think it is tv that is doing it. she used to be very difficult to talk to. but she got on a kick of 24 and then it was like she had something sge felt like talking about! so i lent her my friends, buffy, angel, charmed, and sex and the city dvd's and that pretty much gave her something to talk about with every one of our family members she loved buffy so i knew she would like dollhouse!
