It seems that english teachers are really interested in Buffy. Which is odd, because she butchers the language so much...

lol, that's pretty good. i dunno if it's ever happened to me. I was sitting in computer class making an Oz banner with photoshop, when our substitute came up behind me and leane din real close to my ear and was like "Buffy fan?" in a really creepy seductive kind of voice. i was like "yeah." but i was internally freaking out. That's not right. The substitute probably didn't mean to sound seductive(hope not!!!) but man, just thinking about makes me feel filthy. Substitutes should not flirt. (Unless they're superhot, good at flirting and you're above 18, but I assume that's not the case with you and him/her) It seems that english teachers are really interested in Buffy. Which is odd, because she butchers the language so much... Maybe they wish they were as "innovative/imaginative" as the characters? Seriously, butchering or not, it's certainly a new way of communiating.

I had another incident at the campus library one time. I had some time to kill before class so I decided to go hang out in the library for a while. I sit down on the couch, pulled out my Buffy book (that I just happened to have with me that day), and started reading. A few minutes later, the librarian passes by and in an attempt to make polite conversation, he asks what I am reading. He notices a picture of Buffy/SMG on the cover and says, "Oh, is that Buffy the Vampire slayer?" And then he starts talking about how good the show is. I always thought Mr. librarian was cool, but I thought he was even cooler after that! I should have asked him if Giles was his favorite character (well, it would make sense... ). There was also this other time I was at Barnes N' Noble searching for a Buffy book (The Tales of the Slayer series, I believe). I asked the guy working there what section the Buffy books were in. He shows me, and then proceeds to go on about how great the show is, saying his favorite character is Xander, and how much he identifies with him. It's so cool to unexpectedly find others who share your love of Buffy. Especially when you come from a small town like I do!
