Just wondering what everyone is reading, if anything. I'm a big fan of young adult literature, which is helpful since I just got my master's in library science and am hoping to become a young adult librarian. Right now I'm reading The Cheshire Cat's Eye by Marcia Muller. It's a pretty old book, but I just discovered this author and I want to read her Sharon McCone (private eye/mystery) series in order, which means going back to the 1970s. After that I'll probably read the first Vampire Diaries book, but who knows?

I've just finished reading the Outlander series by Diana Gabaldon - six rather hefty books (around 1000-1400 pages per book). Absolutely loved the series. If you like historical fiction, with a touch of the supernatural (in this case, time travelling) - I highly recommend. Took me three months to get through the entire series but it was well worth it. Now I'm at a complete loss as to what to read, I've been so immersed in the Outlander world and characters I just want more. Luckily, the next book in the series is being released in the autumn, yay

I'm reading the mermaid series by Maryjanice Davidson and it's a laugh a minute(okay, every five minutes).
Some of Maryjanice Davidson's books has rape-stuff in them(the rape-victim gets seduced by the rapist, they fall in love and the rapist kinda regrets the rape) which can be quite disturbing if you're not prepared, but the mermaid series seems okay so far and the undead series is rape-free too.
Great books. But you know, a character you grow to like might turn out to be a rapist. Kinda makes me sad and not a 100 per cent eager to start the next book. Yet, they're addictive.

I just finished Embrace the Night by Karen Chance. It's the 3rd book in the Cassie Palmer series. Series is so very good. It has just about any supernatural thing you can think of in it.
Getting ready to read the 4th book in this series and then I am either going to read the Fever series by Karen Marie Moning or I will be reading the The City of Ember book series.
By the way EWR, I second your thought to have a board just for books! We have one for music and movies...

I re-read Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows on an all-too-regular basis. That final battle just plays out so epically in my mind. I've also been meaning to re-read Michael Chabon's works. The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Clay is one of those novels that fundamentally changed the way I view literature and fiction.

By the way EWR, I second your thought to have a board just for books! We have one for music and movies... definitely i think a sub-board for books and a sub-board for comics in The Library would work better i haven't read a book in ages although i am looking for some really good books to get into

Well that's what this sub-board is for already, Non-Buffyverse books and comics.

Currently reading: Against a Dark Background by Iain M. Banks. Pretty good, though i've barely begun.
