Billy Mays died... i'm honestly shocked... he was 50. just like MJ.
His wife found him yesterday afternoon in their house. The police do not expect foul play and he apparently suffered head trauma yesterday in a plane crash and it's possible that that's the cause of death.

I loved his infomercials, the only ones that didn't annoy me. I think he was on The Tonight Show just last Monday. Very sad.

While I thought he was annoying (all he did was shout at you), it was pretty cool that he got so popular just from selling stuff on infomercials. Real shame.  R.I.P. |

He annoyed me at first with the way he'd start off every commercial with "Hi, Billy Mays here for _______!" It was like, "Dude, you're not a celebrity--why are you telling us your name?"  But by the end he was actually kinda cool, with his over-the-top enthusiasm for all these totally oddball products. I just hope this doesn't open the door to more opportunities for that woman-battering whack-job Vince from ShamWow. That guy's a scumbag...  |
