No one really did much with the system besides being sorted in the different houses. After that the interest pretty much died. I can't vouch for the first year it was around or how popular it was (because I wasn't here), but when I joined last February, there wasn't much interest past the sorting process. :/

We stopped it for a few reasons: - lack of interest
- the administrator of Buffy-Boards.com pitched a hissy fit accusing us of "stealing" their idea
- it's kind of pointless, and I think it divides people too much
I don't see how we can steal an idea from a forum. Especially when it's all a blatant Harry Potter rip-off. Meh. Either way it wasn't ever a big deal, and we don't fault the other forum for wanting to keep that something that they only do.  |

Well, we ended the system a while ago. I guess members still like to emblems I made, or they just don't really care to remove them from their signatures! Haha. Either way it's no big deal, but thanks for asking the question. Maybe others were curious too.  |

Wow!!! I totally forgot about that. I don't even remember which house I was assigned. Was I even assigned one? I'm not even sure.... Must have been a while ago.

I never knew SlayAlive ever did something like that. It actually sounds pretty cool.
Were there threads where each house could chat amongst themselves? Oh and did you get a house picture for your signature? How did the point system work?
Im getting way to excited about something that doesn't happen anymore lol, and I dont like the Buffy Boards so I am not joining theirs.

There were boards for each dorm that had a password that was given to every member of that dorm. They were never really used though, apart from the Welcome thread.  |

I don't think that would be wise, as I said you can see clear divides on BB, they comment on each other's posts with go raiden and simular stuff, seems a little mean. But the members here are alot closer than those on the Buffy Boards, thats why I dont like BB. I think people would take it in a fun way. And its only a trial, if people get too competitive then take it away. |

Honestly, it's not something I want to do again. I respect the admin @ BB...so I don't wanna start it all up. They're a good forum, with nice a good admin team. Let's move on from this.
We already do Forum Challenges, MotM, and things like that so I think we have alot of community building activities. But let's brainstorm! What are other ideas you'd like to see us do?

LMAO, I remember when I guessed all the house passwords. Fun times, fun times...
As for fun ideas, I think we should have a mascot! I remember seeing a board about that ages ago, but it never got followed through with.
