I thought I'd share with everyone a really awesome podcast that I found shortly before joining SlayAlive and picked up again yesterday. I don't know if anyone here has already listened to any of this, but BuffyCast is an excellent commentary on the series. The episodes are approximately 30 minutes long and involve our narrator, Revello, exploring some ace themes in the show. Episodes revolve around such fascinating topics as: "What does Spike need from his relationships?" "Does "The Body" break the contract between writers and watchers of Buffy that death should not be viewed seriously?" "Does Xander have a story-arc?" Whether you agree or disagree with them, I'm sure you'll find them all valuable insights into your favourite show. The only irritation is that they were running practically weekly for about a dozen episodes back in 2005 and then it just stops! Although the site iteslf professes to be in the progress of making more, it's hard to believe after such a long hiatus. Anyway the link is here: buffycast.com/I really recommend it! If anyone has any more podcasts that they have discovered that are worth a listen, please post here and let us all know about them!

Thanks heaps for the link! I've downloaded them and I think they will be good to listen to on my commute to uni ^_^ I only really got involved in the Buffy online community in the last 12 months or so, before that I never had access to the net on a regular basis, so I got my Buffy fix by listening to a podcast I'd download whenever I had the chance to use the net! I didn't particularly PICK this podcast it just sort of happened to be the one I randomly found and downloaded so I'm not sure if it's better than other podcasts, but I really enjoyed it and it was great or news and tidbits I didn't hear about otherwise. It's called Joss'd and it covers the whole Whedonverse and alumni so it's good. But I literally havent listened to it for like 20 episodes now (since I have a web-home and don't have time!) www.jossd.com/ - if you're interested!

Oh darn, Secret Scoobie beat me to my favourite. I love Joss'd also. It has great content and keeps you interested throughout, which matters a lot to me considering I usually give up on podcasts due to their very dull presenting. I haven't listened to the Buffycast before but I've read a lot of people saying it's good. I think at one point I downloaded the first episode into my iTunes, but never bothered to listen to it and eventually deleted it. I'm very lazy when it comes to trying new podcasts, it takes a lot to stimulate me into committing to it. Bitca, I love the reviews on that site! Haven't listened to the podcasts yet though.

I really want to listen to the Delta Park one but it doesn't show me a button or anything to play/download it. Is it working for anyone else?

Thanks, redapple! Only now I'm even sadder because I revile the idea of installing the bloatware that is iTunes just to listen to a podcast. Oh well...
I'm listening to the Watchercast, which I love. I'd listened to a few of them late last year and really enjoyed their take on the eps. And still totally digging their theme song.

I think you can listen to it on their website but I'm not sure. That was the original problem; no button to press play and listen (that I could find).

I like Joss'd and recently discovered it myself. I'm new to the whole podcast thing.
