His fingers stroke its shiny teeth. Eyes closed, he listens to the whirring blades as he flicks the switch. It’s a remarkable bringer of destruction. Efficient technology breeding merciless chaos. Perfection.

Torture is his art. Hot, cold, sharp, blunt, loud – he’s already mastered the basics and gone pro. Emotional pain and the decimation of a human mind, oh, to witness that slow descent into madness is pure ecstasy. A true artist savors every brutal nuance, drinking down the agony like fine wine.

But sometimes you just want it hard and fast, like a good fuck – that’s why God invented chainsaws.

Brutal and well-characterised. My only criticism would be using the description of torture that we only hear from Faith's perspective on the shows. This took me out of Angelus' head for a sec. On the other hand, the ending is shocking and perfectly in character.

You have his evil side down! I get gumgnome's comment about the torture being a little bit Faith but you still have captured Angelus.

This is great! Really dark and evil! It ties in really well with the exhiliration Angelus gets from torturing Giles and the comment about the chainsaw

I like the similies, and the fact that it's written in 3rd person but still captures Angelus' voice so well!

And gumgnome, excellent point on how the description of torture might jar back to Faith. I have to admit, I was thinking of it in more universal terms of torture but you're very right that the phrasing is strongly identified with Faith. I appreciate your saying this and kinda wish I'd had you as a beta for the piece.
