The Gift.
Never really liked Not fade away, since I don't like the suicidal plan.
Okay, in the gift Buffy killed herself, so it's a suicidal episode too, but it's not like she had a choice. I think the Not fade away-plan was, well, stupid. Ruined the rest of the episode for me too.

Definitely "The Gift". It's my all-time favorite Buffy episode.

I do like The Gift better than Chosen though.

I love 'Not Fade Away', but I would take 'The Gift' over it any day. It's the best season finale (though 'Becoming' was a close second), and I think the ending's nicer than the NFA ending. I do love them both, though. They were both a little better than 'Chosen', to me.

Oh, that's a tough one. They both are really great and I love them both. As much as I love Not Fade Away though, I do have a soft spot in my heart for The Gift. I adore Angel but guess I am a little biased toward all things Buffy.  There are moments in NFA that I love though. Definitely a spectacular episode, of the series and of the Buffyverse as a whole. Definitely an episode that can stand up in its own right. I really think it goes toe to toe with The Gift in many respects. Some of my favorite moments include: The Wesley, Fred/Illyria scene as Wes lay dying. "Would you like me to lie to you now?"  Spike taking a shot of courage and reading the poetry that he was picked on for so long ago. Connor coming back to help his dad. The knock down, drag out fight between Angel and Hamilton. Lorne - "Goodnight folks." The whole ending scene in the alley way, and Angel, "I Kinda always wanted to slay a dragon." I'm sure there are many other great moments I am overlooking here, but these are just a few I thought of. Though I am partial to The Gift, Not Fade Away is a spectacular episode and a perfect ending to the (televised) series. |

The Gift. Perfectly sums up the show.
Not Fade Away is still amazing though, nearly perfect. It's a better episode than Chosen.

NFA just feels loose because it doesn't quite wrap up the season the way The Gift does. I think in this instance my loyalty lies with The Gift. |

I am not a big fan of 'Angel' season 5 at all and I only like 'Not Fade Away' for the Wes/fake Fred part and seeing Connor again, so I am going to go with 'The Gift'.

not fans of season 5 of buffy....??   The Gift wins over Not Fade Away ANY day in my books...although (as stupid as this sounds) I prefer the episode title of Not Fade Away...it has a nicer ring to it than The Gift. I do adore both episodes however, and think both were perfect season finales...although I do prefer Chosen to The Gift because it has a more epic feel to it.  |

The Gift means a lot more to me than NFA. I'm one of a minority who felt Angel went out on a low with Season 5, so by the end it really wasn't doing anything for me. The Gift, however, is moving, exciting, funny and heartbreaking!

Not Fade Away by a long shot in my book. It just feels so epic and I love watching the episode over and over again. The final scene is one of my favourites - 'Let's go to work' - love it!

I prefer The Gift. I prefer BtVS as a show overall, and I just feel that there's so much more to like about The Gift.
The first time I watched NFA, I thought 'Huh? Is that it?' - I just felt it went out on a bit of a whimper, as opposed to The Gift which ended the season with a bang.

"Chosen" and "Not Fade Away" are both the perfect endings to their respective series. "The Gift" is a better episode than both of them, but it wouldn't have been as appropiate a series finale.
Personally, "Chosen" is my favourite of the three, even though I know "The Gift" is technically better.
