I just wacthed the epsiode the gift and i am just wondering what would happen if glory won and buffy didnt....
Would they be a war of hell gods or the army will fight the demons back or something like that......Any thoughts.

I think the idea is that all of the barriers that keep dimensions separate from one another would just vanish. I think once that occurred, just the amount of various energies and conflicting laws of physics would probably just end the universe completely - but then I guess that wouldn't be good for Glory either...

Wouldn't the walls go up as soon as Dawn died/the blood stopped flowing? Just like when Buffy died? Maybe a few demons would have slipped in and lots of people would have been killed, just as I assume happened on the show(I can't remember, did everything go back to normal in The Gift, after Buffy jumped? Or did the dragon and other demons stay or whatever?)
I thought that's why Giles was so intent on killing Dawn fast so everything would go back to normal without too much damage?
Maybe, if Dawn has bleed slowly, worlds would have died from afterschocks or whatever. Or the damage would have been relatively small. I don't think the scoobies knew and therefore were panicking.

It's never really shown. I'd expect the things that did leak through would stay, which means the Scoobies would've had a lot of clean-up to do. (Maybe Wolfram & Hart adopted the dragon to be used at a later time... AtS connection?  ) |

Dawn only had 'shallow cuts' so she would have bled out for hours, thus we all would have been demon chowder or and fodder. So in that time I expect a lot more demons would have come through, plenty to over-rule the scoobies and hell would have reined on earth. I guess this makes it a fairly similar fate to opening the hellmouth, just not localised to one particular place. |

I have never thought about it, honestly. I guess all the worlds would have somehow blended and made themselves into one, huge, hellish world. This would have been epic fail for The Scoobies. You know one thing that now I wonder about is, what would Angel and his Avengers have thought when the worlds started to blend while they were in Pylea? I think that would have been cool to see!

Well, in order for Glory to have won, she would have had to beaten Buffy in the fight, and I'm guessing probably would have killed her. She would then have cut Dawn, jumped into portal or something to get to her world in some way. Then I think Dawn would probably have sacrificed herself in order to stop the portal, cause there was definitely the heavy implication that she planned on doing it before Buffy jumped in herself.
So that would leave both Summers girls dead. Spike would probably leave as I think his love for Buffy only extended to Buffy and protecting Dawn (at least at this point in the series). This leaves Willow, Tara, Xander, Anya and Giles to clean up the mess/the demons that the portal sent out. And I think it's kind of redundant to say that Giles definitely would not head back to England if this happened. So the five of them would remain in Sunnydale.
Now I think at this point they would have two options, as obviously there was no way the five of them could do it themselves. So I believe they would either:
A) Break Faith out of jail and ask for her help. And I think that she definitely would have had enough time in jail to be on the help scoobies/kill demons side rather than the help demons/kill scoobies side.
B) Call The Council in hopes that they can help. I think this is the much less likely option. It also makes me wonder if they would kill Faith in attempts to bring about a new Slayer that they could control easier.
Now with either choice, I still think there would still be a hugely increased dependence on Willow. Which would lead to the whole magic addiction thing much faster in my opinion. But due to the circumstances I don't know whether or not people would try and stop it, or if they would rely on it and consider it the lesser of two evils or a sacrifice in an attempt to stop the hundreds or thousands of demons in Sunnydale.
There is my theory on what would happen. Well, at least assuming they all survive. They all could just die almost immediately.
So, to sum up, here's what I think would happen:
-Both Summers girls dead. Spike leaves town.
-Remaining Scoobies: Willow, Tara, Xander, Anya and Giles.
-Turn to either Faith or The Council (I doubt the two together as I don't think The Council would be able to get over it's feud with Faith despite the circumstances).
-Willow's magic addiction would happen way earlier, and might not be able to be or want to be stopped due to the circumstances of hundreds/thousands of demons.
There is my very elaborate idea on what would happen.

^Haha thanks. I don't write fan-fics or read them (nothing against people that do - I'd just rather write my own original stuff and what not), but I think it would make a cool one. Feel free to write it someone, the idea's out there!
