The First has appeared as an enormous, phantasmic demon with large horns and long, talon-shaped fingers. The First claimed that when its army outnumbered the humans on Earth, it would gain a corporeal form. For technical purposes, the First Evil is neither male, female, demon, nor god; it is a power. The First Evil claims to be the source and embodiment of all that is evil. Older than demons, even the Old Ones, who themselves existed long before the first humans, it is older than the written word and transcends all realities and dimensions; it is older than any other evil being and may even be the very first entity ever to have existed. It is said that the First lurked in the darkness long before the universe was even created and shall remain long after the universe ends. Few have heard of it and even fewer believe in its existence. So i am wondering would the first be stronger then any demon old one hell god or even willow.lol ... AND I AM WONDERING WHO WOULD WIN OUT OF THE FIRST AND ILLYRIA,,,,

No idea. It could be strong, it could be weak. Just because it could become corporeal doesn't mean it would be strong.

How do you mean by stronger? Seeing as it couldn't even lift a feather if it tried. It's the embodiment of evil. It doesn't have to lift a finger - it just activates the most corrupt of beings in the world and triggers their purest of evil desires, bending it to its will. That's what I think, at least. If it could gain control of Spike (and of course granting that Spike wasn't in the best of places when he came back to Sunnydale) and almost get Angel to commit suicide (again, admittedly not while Angel was in the best mental place), it can do much worse. ...Actually, thinking back over that paragraph and the seventh season, it seems to be as much an opportunist as Jasmine. Both of them practically eternal (well, until Jasmine made herself corporeal in the human world - oops?) and both willing to wait a very long time while events played out so that they could make a move. But the First Evil has been around much longer than anything else - the next oldest thing as far as we know is the Old Ones, the purest of demons.

i don't really think that the horned beast was corporeal... but that's just my opinion. i think it was just an apparition to frighten/confuse the Scoobies.

I think the line "When my army over-runs this earth, I will be made flesh" (or whatever it is) is cleverly ambiguous. I read into that that there may not be a moment when the First is made into a physical being, but rather when the scales tip and evil dominates, it will be in the hearts and souls of all. It will be "flesh" because it will be the driving force of every living being on the planet.

Well, considering that none would exist if The First never existed... my money's squarely on The First. It's not corporeal, and has no standing armies, which to me says two things: it can be anything it wants, anytime it wants to; it doesn't need a standing force, since it created evil, it can further create armies when necessary. It could be simply by controlling one man, say, a general in the Army, who controls thousands of men and women (yes, it's crossed my mind more than once that General Voll and Twilight might actually be machinations of The First). Remember, Buffy didn't 'win' over The First. It can't be conquered, and it can't go away. Evil is as forever as good is. The only way you could stop one is to change the balance between good and evil - and although that sounds clever, Nature thrives on balance, and when that's out of whack, nothing good can come of it. Btw, just a suggestion, but you may wish to use quotes " " around text you're borrowing, or at least note the source. Even though your text is from Wiki, and Wiki's open source/creative commons, it's still polite to give a nod or a link or something. It helps you to not look bad, while also giving people something to look at if they want to read more.

I don't think Caleb is Twilight, but this isn't the Twilight thread. And as for his first 'death', it might have been a deep wound, but not enough to kill him
