I didn't see a thread for her so I thought I start one. I liked her on both Buffy and Angel cause she was always quirky and funny. When Mercedes Mcnab was finally added to the cast of Angel I thought it was well deserved since she's been part of the Buffyverse since the Buffy pilot. Anyway show lots of love.

I liked her, but then didn't, because I think she was over-used. IMO she didn't need to become a regular member of the cast. I just feel that she didn't deserve it; That she wasn't that important.

I love Harmony but she's not really series regular material. I think they just included her because they had to re-jig the credits to include Illyria anyway, and wanted to throw a bone to Mercedes McNab since she'd been around since the Buffy pilot. That's just my speculation though, maybe there's more to it. I'm still a huge Harmony fan though. She's so quotable, "Harm's Way" is one of my favourite Angel episodes. |

I love Harmony. I can see what you guys are saying about her being a regular cast member. However, I think Mercedes Mcnab did a fantastic job potraying her. I think she fit in even better in Angel S5. This is where she really got a chance to shine. "Harm's Way" is one of my favorite Angel episodes. It was amazing! Both funny, and extremely well done.

Harm's Way is classic. Although I never had much of an opinion about Harmony until after she and Spike became a couple. For me, up until that season, his treatment of Harmony probably generated the most sympathy I've ever had for a Buffy character. And I love Harmony and Cordy moments too, especially in Disharmony when Cordy misinterprets Harmony's "advances."
Also, up until she turned on Angel, I thought maybe she'd have a chance at redemption too... but that was my wishful thinking. Harmony as a fighter for good might make one too many moral vamps in the Buffyverse. What do you think?

"The key ingredient is otter." She could have gotten better stories if Angel had continued, is my opinion.  But I love her sooo much. And I think she was used really well in the aftermath of Fred/Illyria - first at Wesley's side ("The girl of your dreams loved you. That's more than most people get.") and then the Gunn scene in the hospital (reminded me of Book and Inara at the end of the Firefly pilot episode "Serenity"). She's great.  |

I love Harmony. I think she is hilarious, and I feel so bad for her and how hard it is for her to adjust to being a vampire.
Here's a question to all Harmony fans, cause I'd love to see people's opinions:
Did Harmony betray Angel at the end cause she was evil (according to Angel) or because he did not trust her enough (according to Harmony)?

Easily a favorite character of mine and is very underrated. She doesn't get enough love. Everytime she is on screen I just have a huge smile on my face, no other character does that for me. I agree with zombierella, Mercedes McNab was brilliant. Did Harmony betray Angel at the end cause she was evil (according to Angel) or because he did not trust her enough (according to Harmony)? I think both play an important factor. Yes, she is vampire without a soul, so it's just natural for her to be evil. Angel did treat Harmony like dirt though. You have to give her credit for trying so hard to be... good. That scene at the end of Harm's Way breaks my heart. Angel had the power to help her through it, but didn't. Oh, and screw Spike and Angel, Harmony is the best vampire on the show!  |

I agree she was the funniest of the three. Nice to know there are some fans of Harmony out there cause she is underated.

Actually I think it was both. I think she wanted to be good and have Angel trust, but when she wasn't getting it she went back to trying to be evil again. And Angel simply ouldn't trust her cause she had no soul. |

I think her becoming a series regular was more about respect since she was in the Whedonverse since the BTVS unaired pilot. So with that being said I think it was well deserved. |
