So, Mat made a highlights thread, so i decided to make a lowlights thread. so what do you think are the bits of Buffy that were kinda....not too great. here's my list:
-I Robot, You Jane, Inca Mummy Girl, Teacher's Pet, Reptile Boy. i don't much like any of those episodes. -Tara's death. i know it was important, but it still saddens me -DAWN!! (in season 5. she got cool after that) -KENNEDY!!!! (she....uh.....she never got cool. ever.) -When both Buffy and Willow grew their hair longer. i preferred Buffy in season two adn Willow in seasons four and five
anyways, chat about the less awesome Buffy parts here!

season 1 wins, or looses depending on how you look at it, by default though... it had the fewest episodes. it's not like Joss (no matter how fantastical his writing is) could jam pack 22 episodes worth of stuff into 12 episodes.

He did great on doing it for Dollhouse I think.
I think S1 too since it is the most uneventful of all.

Ahah, it's funny you created the thread after all. Yours is even more pointless than mine now! It's going to be a hundred per cent vote for Season 1 (of course 12 episodes!!).

I agree that season 1 was at the bottom, but I do think it was really great anyway, there were just a few things that I didn't like about it I guess.
The hair thing I have to disagree with lol. I liked Buffy's hair the most in season 5, I think checkpoint is the best example though it's totally cute in season 6 in Grave when Giles shows up, it's all cute and curly. haha but that's just my opinion.
most of my low lights however are of the hair or outfit variety though, anything I didn't like when it first happened, I got the point of it by the end, even Kennedy.

Less awesome parts eh? let's do them by season.
Season 1 - I would say Teacher's Pet is its weak link but still an enjoyable episode.
season 2 - Inca Mummy Girl.
Season 3 - The kiss between Willow and Xander. I know it set up a lot of angst and tension but I honestly believe it was there more to split Cordelia up from the group prior to her move to the Angel cast than an actual attempt at plotting.
Season 4 - The Initiative. great season, ep for ep, but a lousy bad guy in the Initiative.
Seaon 5 - The Knights of byzantium. So lame there are ven LARPers out there going "Compared to that we look blooming authentic".
Season 6 - Magic addiction storyline that wasn't until halfway through. Tara's death (a completely unnecesary device designed to look good and only ended up looking naff). Spuffy (went on far too long and detracted from other stories). Xander and Anya not getting married.
Season 7 - The First (utterly lame villain). ANDREW. Too many potentials. Kennedy (I think kennedy would have been an okay character if they ahd simply kept her as a potential and not tried to force chemistry that wasn't there and make her Willow's new girl just to shut sections of the fanbase up).

Lowlights in my opinion:
S1- A lot of the stunts & effects. Some of the episodes were really good, some weren't. The clothes.
S2- Some random episodes, and Cordy breaking up with Xander halfway through the season, even though they got back together.
S3- Buffy & Angel breaking up, after all they had been through, even though it brings future Spuffage.
S4- Riley. The Initiative. Maggie Walsh. Where the Wild Things Are. the end.
S5- Dawn-Get out Get out Get out! Joyce dying.
S6- The storyline was dragged out for wayyyy too long. Supreme lack of Giles.
S7-Kennedy, The Potentials. I hated that part of it. I missed the original Scooby Gang.

Kennedy (I think kennedy would have been an okay character if they ahd simply kept her as a potential and not tried to force chemistry that wasn't there and make her Willow's new girl just to shut sections of the fanbase up). Andrew? i loved him! i thought he was so unnecessary it just made him great. in my Season 7 set fanfic, i work him into the plot SO randomly just to get him in there a bit. lol.

I think Andrew is the best thing that could have happened to Season 7. He's the one thing that makes me think that the whole season was incredibly worth watching. He made me laugh so hard. I cannot imagine not having Season 7. We would have missed out on so many hilarious lines and situations.

Season 7-Anya's death.. = LOW. too true. most death's were low. 'cept Jenny's. i mean, i liked the character and everything, and i was really sad, but Passion is just such a good episode, and Remembering Jenny is one of the most beautiful pieces of music i've ever heard.

Sorry guys, but Andrew just annoyed and bored me in equal measure. I've gotten to the point now of muting the sound whenever he's on and I don't watch Storyteller at all now cos it's just so boring.

Everyone's entitled to their opinion as long as the opinion is acceptable. Saying Andrew is not funny is just plain wrong and should be prosecuted.

So its not acceptable to find Andrew annoying and painfully unfunny? fair enough. Guilty as charged, M'Lud! I have no regrets and no remorse. LOL!

I find Andrew funny, but definitely have to agree on the skipping of Storyteller. I think Andrew has done more terrible things than the large majority of the cast, I mean yes, peer-pressured/undying devotion/ love or mancrush on Warren caused him to do a lot of it, but I mean as all these terrible things are happening (Katrina dying particularly) he shows no remorse. And then he cries once and it's all better? Meanwhile Angel gets a whole series to try and redeem. He is funny, but I can't stand how he destroys the whole balance of right and wrong.

It's funny, I didn't like Andrew at first, but now I adore him! Storyteller is actually one of my favorite episodes, and Andrew has had some of the best lines in season 8 so far! Guess he just kinda grew on me.

Season 1: It really didnt have any LOWLIGHTs to me, as the show was just getting started and the season was kinda uneventful.
Season 2: No complaints that I can think of.
Season 3: None off the top of my head here either.
Season 4: I really hated Adam's arm turning into a machine gun. Really hated it.
Season 5: No complaints of the top of my head here...
Season 6: Oh, god I am sure there are some, but I cant think of the top of my head here either. I will edit this after I rewatch soon.
Season 7: The fact that Sunnydale collapsed yet had no beach or dock...huge error.
Season 8: Mecha-Dawn. Also not a fan of all the mystical creatures and such. We need more vamps and demons.

Season 1's kinda MEH, but it does have the whole big Master thing. The Master is a big, big part of what makes Buffy, Buffy. And the Master thing provoked her first emotional meltdown of the series. Hooray!
