Ahh I don't think I need to say just how much I LOVE Illyria. <3 <3

She's one of my absolute favorite characters from Angel.

It is insane how, in just 9 episodes, Illyria became one of the most popular Buffyverse characters. I'd even go so far as to say she is numero cinco, after Buffy/Angel/Spike/Faith. Craziness, but certainly well deserved. She's one of my favorite characters, as is Fred, and the two are my favorite female characters in the Buffyverse.

Such a layered, deep character and it was great to see her get even more awesome development in Spike: After the Fall and Angel: After the Fall. Here's hoping Only Human continues her development even further.

Illyria is my 3rd favorite Angel character after Angel, and Wesley.
In fact one of the most sad moments for me was when she pretended to be Fred in "The girl in question".
And when she pretended to be Fred in "Not Fade Away".

It was really sad that we never got a season six to see her develop more(thank god for After the Fall).

Amy Acker did a wonderful job in bringing this character to life.

Plus Illyria has one of my favorite lines, "Would you like me to lie to you now".

Illyria, Illyria, Illyria. By the end of season 5, I was already in love with her. She became one of my favourite characters alongside Angel, Cordy, Spike and Faith. She was a very interesting character right from the start and she just grew on me

What you love
Her personality and quirks. All 'high and mighty' as Spike would say. Just love her overall. She's awesome

What you dislike
Not much to dislike about Blue Thunder really. There's nothing I don't like about her

Defining Moments
Hmm, what could be considered a defining moment? Time Bomb, when she lost her powers or maybe ATF #14, when she reverted back to her true form. Comforting Wesley as he died would be another one

Illyria is such a truely complex and intense character. In my opinion, I think she holds the highest complexity of any Angel character next to Faith when she was on and obviously Angel/angelus.

I love her cold distant unhuman apparence yet she holds so many very human emotions, or at least the desire to adapt and learn human emotions. Curiousity and confusing and loyalties you know. she's the very flip side of Fred, for that I consider Illyria as a whole other character of her own.

Wesley and her are so good for eachother (granted I can't seem to shake my wes and cordy pairing for some reason lol!) and they happened for eachother at the right time! And it's super fun when she's in scenes with her pet Spike lol!!

So that's my input on glorious and superb Illyria! YAY!

My biggest complaint about Illyria is that her coming on the show meant no more Fred. And I missed Fred. I wanted to see her and Wesley actually make a go of a relationship (I hated her with Gunn) and with her 'death' it made that impossible.

However, I did laugh at the way she spoke. Everything she said sounded hilarious to me.

I didn't mind Illyria. I liked Fred better, but Illyria was still pretty good. The whole thing between her and Wesley was a nice touch. Fred and Wes where in a lot of ways opposites, especially in the later years. Fred didn't really have a journey into the darkness the way Wesley did. She always stayed on the side of good. Illyria, however was in a lot of ways dark and was slowly making her way back into the light like Wes was. They went on that journey together at the end of season 5 and it was wonderful to watch.

Shes not my absolute favorite character from Angel, but she is still pretty good.

i really cant imagine how someone else could be illyria besides amy acker... shes was explendid...

Illyria(and Fred) is by far one of my favorite characters in the Angelverse.
Shes not one dimentional.
Shes full of character.
Shes complex.
Shes badass.
Shes hot.
And jeez how amazing of an actress is Amy Acker? Shes was two totally different people on the show.
Shes was such a cute, bubbly, fun loving person as Fred then BOOM. Shes this dark,twisted,morbid, and dangerous. You would never expect that from Fred!

And I love the way she moves and talks. Especially when she does her little head jerk when she is watching someone talk.

And she had some great lines.

Defining Moments - One of my favorite defining moments of hers happened in Spike After the fall, but I wont spoil it just in case by some chance somebody hasn't read it.

If you've seen my deviantart avatar, you know I love Illyria. Almost everthing she says is my favorite quote but I really love. "I play this game... it's pointless and annoys me... and yet, I'm compelled to play on." Because that's exactly how I feel when I play video games, and it's just really funny to hear it coming out of an ancient demon's mouth.

Also, in AtS season 4, there's a scene where Fred says she'd rather feel the pain from when she and Gunn killed the professor, than become an empty shell. It always hits me hard because that's basically what she becomes (in the physical sense). Such good foreshadowing.

Definitely one of my favourite characters on Angel and I love what they have done for her character in the comics as well, and while it may not be canon, I love her guest appearance in Fallen Angel Reborn, just because we get into the mind of Illyria more than usual and she talks a lot and I really love that.

I remember being so sad when Fred was gone, but the way Amy Acker played Illyria made me love that character too and besides, the character was wonderfully written, with great lines like "I'd like to keep Spike as my pet" - being as Spike is my favourite Buffyverse character, I'm bound to love that line ;D

I'm really looking forward to seeing what they do with her in the Angel: Only Human comics

I like Illyria, she is definitely in my top 10 favorite Buffyverse character. Alot of her lines are funny and I think it is cute that she thinks of Spike as a pet. I just feel bad that Fred had to die because of her.

Got throw down some more love for my favourite goddess. Just love her. How could I not. She's so badass and awesome. I'm looking forward to seeing more of her in the series. Also, I love her interactions with Spike the most and imo, I think they'll be an interesting couple
