Adelle and Giles?

Maybe this is a waste of a thread, but am I the only one who has thought it would be cool to see the two of them get together? I think Giles would fancy Adelle until he discovers that she is the leader of an evil "dollhouse" cooperation (or maybe not evil, depending how you look at it, but definitely a questionable moral gray area, to say the least). I could totally see the two of them having tea together, etc. Giles and Adelle both seem like lonely people who could use some companionship in there lives (Adelle so lonely that she must resort to becoming a secret DH client and use an active to live out her ideal fantasy with the perfect man. It's sad, really). I think the two of them would get along famously and that they would have a lot in common. Adelle does seem like the kind of woman Giles would be interested in.

Someone should totally make a Giles/Adelle fan video because that would be hilarious!

I think her and Wesley would be a better fit. Being that Wes had already had a questionable relationship with Lilah on Angel. Had Wes survived I could totally see them two hooking up and being happy together.

I'm not sure I could see her and Giles. Giles is a little to moral for her I think. Giles wouldn't even help Angel because he was controlling a Wolfram and Hart office. Giles is pretty quick when it comes to stuff and I think he would see through Adelle.

Yeah, you're probably right about Giles being quick to see through Adelle. Really, I don't think she is a bad person though. I think she really believes that she is helping people, and in some ways this is true (not so true in others).

Interesting that you think Adelle and Wes would be a better match. I have to say I did not think of the two of them together, rather my first thought was of Giles.

So, I guess I am the only crazed fan that has thought of this, hu? Obviously, this would never actually happen because we are talking about two separate worlds/universes, but it would definitely be interesting if Giles and Adelle could somehow cross paths. I love Buffy, I love Dollhouse, what could be better?

Maybe Tony could be on the show as a guest star. That would be awesome! It would be a lot of fun to see him play a completely different character.

Come to think of it Wes might be a little to dark for Adelle. Wes didn't go all the way into the darkness, but he was pretty damn close to doing that. He stopped just short of diving completely in by helping Angel out of the ocean. Adelle so far hasn't really gone into the darkness.

I agree that Adelle isn't fundamentally bad, like Lilah was in Angel, but I don't think she fully understands what she is doing either. I'm not fully convinced that all the Dolls in the house "volunteered". Echo did for sure, even if she was put under heavy pressure by Adelle, but I am positive Serena didn't. The guy forced her do it after she refused to have sex with him. How many others are like that? I willing to bet a lot of them are.

I agree that Adelle doesn't fully understand the consequences of her actions. I think she is trying too hard to focus on the good aspects of the DH while ignoring the bad. I too am suspicious about just how many of the DH actives actually "volunteered." Just b/c we were told that doesn't make it true. We see that Boyd is already suspicious of this...And if they did volunteer does that make it ok? Surely they had no idea what was really in store for them...Such a moral gray area. Does the good outweigh the bad?

If they volunteer I personally don't see a problem with it. Even if they aren't fully aware of what could happen to them. They don't seem to remember what happen to them after their real personalities get put back in, as was shown when Mellie was put back to her normal self at the end of the season. That's the reason I don't have a problem with it as long as they volunteered. I trust Adelle enough to keep them protected. For the most part, she did an excellent job of that last season, we'll see if she continues that trend in season 2.

Hmm....I like that- Giles and Adelle I mean. I mean for me it has nothing to do with them being British (that's just a happy coincidence!), but I think they would click. He's the light that she needs in her life, and the dark side to her career etc would be what would make accept the darkness in Giles. They both have that gray-character feel to them. Both feel they are doing the right thing, but both go the wrong way about (though in both cases it's debatable for everybody) or at least go about it a little bit twistedly.

I think they could work really well together, and he would so keep tapping into her conscience over the whole Dollhouse thang.

Haha! Thats exactly what I was thinking. I'd rather not have them together. If the Dollhouseverse and the Buffyverse collided, then a lot of things could go wrong. Magic and technology don't mix well. We all remember Adam right?

I see Giles working with Adelle better than Wes with Adelle. Giles and Adelle have alot in common I think. They are the masterminds behind everything to say the least. They are the parent figure in everything and they make the tough decisions.

Im not saying Wesley doesnt, but he just doesnt seem like a fit for Adelle. Especially the ''newer'' Wesley, he might be a little too much for Adelle.
