"Let's blow this bitch back to the Bush years." So did they bring her to the future or something? This is very interesting. Can't wait! Took it more as a "Let's just make her history" kinda deal. Haven't seen anything about time travel in Dollhouse yet. Though, it could explain why Whiskey appears to be amazingly preserved...

Omg! Amy was amazing, even in that one clip! She looks really pale. 0.o I can't wait! ;D And her face... It is flawless. Yay, Amy doesn't have to have scars on her face in this episode! Or I just dont see them...

popwatch.ew.com/popwatch/2009/07/dollhouse-epitaph-one-exclusive.htmlGreat interview with Joss. I know this episode will be spectacular, but I'm just having a problem with a few of the things we know about it. Paul, Caroline, Victor and Whiskey have remained unchanged in age even though it's supposed to be 2019. I hope that there is a sci-fi reason to this and it's not just "they're so beautiful they never age." This episode will also be kind of a spoiler alert because we see that Caroline, Paul, Whiskey, Victor and all the other characters in the episode do not die before this point. I know for some people that won't bug them, but for me it's like we already know part of everyone's fate. All in all, I know I'll be able to forget about all my little problems with it because it's gonna be an amazing Joss-sode.

They don't really explain the not aging thing if I remember correctly so I think they are supposed to look a little older. My guess is they didn't have the budget for the FX/Makeup. Caroline looks pretty rough and so does Paul, so you could believe that some time has passed. You could chalk some of it up to plastic surgery, as Victor and Whiskey's scars have been removed. That's a total fan wank, but hey!

Let's just hope that none of the actors age drastically if the show continues for years. Or maybe a future season could just jump forward, because I'd love to see the story expand.

I've watch this episode online... AND im glad they didn't end the series with Epitah one. If you think of the episode as a "what if?" instead on an actual canon episode it really good. but as a season finale well... let's just say i don't think Dollhouse would have been as likely to get a second season if epitah was the season finale, Although i did love that Felicia Day aka. Vi potential slayer/ Codex if u watch The Guild! oh and Molly from heroes is a really good actress. Seeing Amy acker in her 2019 makeup reminds me a little of Illyria especially the way she acts when the team first meets her. all in all if i had to rate it as ep 13 of season 1 it get 3/5 but as its own episode 5/5. . woooh!

Both Echo and Epitaph One has leaked. If I find them I'll watch only 00 since it's not really canon so what the heck why not.

Oh. My. God. This episode is really sad. I mean, REALLY sad. I especially felt for Topher and Adelle who both, I believe, suffered the most in this episode. It was great to see Whiskey again and I have a question that I'll put in the spoiler below ... Did Caroline kill Adelle, like was it implied?

I'm in complete awe. I couldn't help myself and watched both Epitaph One and Echo.
Without spoiling anything, I will say that the strangest thing, in my opinion, about Epitaph One is that it seems like the first part of a two or three part series finale. When Dollhouse does start to come to an end, and I REALLY hope it won't be any where near from now, Epitaph One will be the foundation for the finale, I think, and what an amazing story it's going to be.
The episode as a whole is extremely emotional, dark, and all sorts of awesome. Amy Acker is an unbelievably amazing actress, and now I know for sure why Eliza Dushku is the only and perfect actress for Echo/Caroline.
As a series finale though had the show been cancelled, Epitaph One certainly would've been a massive cliffhanger. Even more so than the series finale of Angel.
I couldn't be more excited for Season 2. What the Dollverse is heading towards are some seriously disturbing and enigmatic storylines.

Where are you people seeing this?
ETA: Ah, okay. It's an illegal download. I've got my DVD on pre-order and will wait for it to watch the ep. Even though it means I'll probably be the last Dollhouse fan in the world who hasn't seen it. Sigh.

It was absolutely BRILLIANT! It was even better than I thought it would be, and that says a lot, since I had really high expectations for it! I'll put my thoughts in spoiler tags: Felicia did such a great job! I knew she was a capable actress, but she exceeded my expectations. The girl who played Molly from Heroes (can't remember her name) did a great job, too...in fact, I almost think she was a more convincing Caroline than Eliza. I can't wait to see how much she improves when she's older! But, in spite of these two great performances, Amy Acker stole the show. Oh my God, I couldn't get over how perfect she was. Plus, when Whiskey sacrificed herself at the end? Guhh, I'm choking up just thinking about it!
Another thing I loved about it was the cinematography. It was VERY Battlestar Galactica-y, which makes sense, since Joss has mentioned several times that he's a huge fan of the show and they've made several fairly subtle references to it in Dollhouse. Everything from the sort of documentary-esque, shaky camera movements to the dark atmosphere to the loud drums in the score made me think, "Hello, BSG!" That's a very good thing, though, since I love Battlestar and it gave the episode a very appropriate, very gritty feel. And I can't believe it was only about half the budget of the other episodes! It actually looked like it would have cost way MORE to make than the rest of the season.
I can sort of see why FOX decided not to air it, since it was a lot different than the rest of the season and networks tend to like shows that are as dumbed down as possible. But regardless, I still wish it had aired on TV so more casual fans could get a taste of how good the show could be.

I want to get the full effect: watch the entire season before getting to Epitaph One on a big-ish television screen. I can wait the extra week and half, even though it sucks.

I'll wait for the Blu-Ray to see both of the new episodes.
Just to remind everyone, it's okay to talk about the episode if you do happen to see it, just do not provide any details about how or where you saw it. That's a no no.

one of the things that grabbed me in epitaph one. (and it's full of the grab being, you know, a GREAT frickin ep an' all) was that it very cleverly connected to parts of the season one whole, making sense out of some things that seemed irrelevent in the standalones or oddly empthasised in the arc episodes. Also, Epitaph One, let me just say to the Powers That Be; SPIN OFF SHOW!!!)
