Go forth and discuss! (PS, here are my top 3 favorites: Spring Awakening, Rent, annd Repo! The Genetic Opera. There are ohso many more, though. Like Wicked and Jesus Christ Superstar and Sweeney Todd and Woman in White and okay, I'll stop now. )

It's soooo hard for me to pick my favorite musicals -- there's so many good ones. My favorites are (hopefully not forgetting any): Curtains, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Altar Boyz, RENT, Spring Awakening, Xanadu, The Last Five Years, tick, tick...BOOM! & Feeling Electric (the workshop version of Next to Normal, which is on Broadway now--not a fan of Next to Normal though).
Musical theatre was my life for like three years, haha. It's still important to me but not as much. It actually made me forget about my Buffy obsession and I didn't even see Serenity when it first opened in theatres...I was too busy obsessing over Rent, lol.

yeah, my school has an incredible fine arts program, so i'm gonna be in it for all three years of High School. last year i was in our fall musical Back to the 80s and then the Tale of Snow White (the grade 10s do childrens plays). Next year our two big ones are Oliver and West Side Story. i forget what all the other ones will be.

Yay, someone else knows Altar Boyz! I adore it...so funny. I miss doing shows. I mean, I'm no dancer so there weren't many I could do well, but still. It was so much fun.

I'm actually not much of an avid musical fan, but I do love theater, so I've seen and heard quite a couple, as well as starred in 3 thus far. I'd have to say my favorites right now would definitely be, without counting Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog, which is just epic, Ragtime, Oliver!, Reefer Madness, and Jesus Christ Superstar.
I'm currently auditioning (Monday!) for Kiss Me Kate, and I'll also be in a school production of Rent next semester. Definitely psyched about both, so I hope they turn out well.

I'm not a huge musical person. I do love Dr. Horrible, and I think I watched Rent on dvd every day for a month the summer after 8th grade... I guess I saw Hairspray the movie too, which was pretty good. And I saw Wicked on Broadway, it was pretty good, but all my theater friends were obsessing a little more than I could tolerate.

Not much of a musicals person. The only one that I really love is Dr. Horrible, I also love OMWF as well. Other musicals tend to annoy me. It was kind of a torture to sit through Phantom of the Opera. I will give a try to Hairspray eventually. I refuse to watch any of the High School Musical ones though, someone would have to handcuff me to a chair to watch any of those, lol.

If you havent seen Across the Universe and you like the Beatles you should deff watch it! Its my favorite movie musical. PS. I actually really liked the Hairspray movie. Both the original and the remake. Christopher Walken, John Travolta and Queen Latifah made it awesome.

Christopher Walken and Queen Latifa I agree with but John Travolta actually ruined the entire thing for me. Michelle Phifer was really good and even Brittany Snow held her own. But Travolta and Amanda Bynes just destroyed it.
