If i had to try, I'd go for a beheading.

Beheading, fire, mutilation, lava, stuff like that.
I guess that if you destroy the body enough, they're gone.

I've wondered this myself. I'd go with beheading as well. But you never know. Lorne was beheaded in Angel S2 and he still survived. lol. Things aren't always as they appear in the Buffyverse. =D

Volcano eruptions and tons of TNT are apparently mighty enough to kill Ascended beings... and I think that meant that they attain pure demonhood. If that's the case, then I'll bet some cash they it's more than enough to kill a Vengeance Demon.

Things aren't always as they appear in the Buffyverse. =D Lorne's an empath demon, not a vengeance demon. The beheading clause only applies to him because he's Pylean. Sword through the chest of a VD also happens earlier than Selfless - "Older and Far Away" when Halfrak (oh bugs and coffee, I can never spell her name right) is summoned by Anya when she finally figures out what's been going on with the house.

Hack and slice into tiny little pieces should do the trick. If not, liquid nitrogen

Probably just a lot of hack and slash.

I think Giles destroyed her power source because killing her wasn't his main goal. He wanted to undo all the wishes.

Hmmm...I'd go with something major, or mystical. What's saying that if Anya were to jump into a mystical whirleygig like Buffy did that she would survive? There would have to be something pretty large to kill her. Perhaps one just has to destroy her power center and then she'd be rendered mortal and thus able to be killed? That's my theory, or just use a rocket launcher. They are useful on Buffy.

They never really explained how to go about killing a Vengence demon. I would assume, yes I know I should never do that, if you slice of their head they would be dead. Other than Lorne from Angel, I don't think there was any other demon or baddie that could get their head sliced off and yet still live.

I think D'Hoffryn is able to kill Halfrek was because he grants the vengeance demons their powers.

I think that specific spell took a life and soul of a vengeance demon because it was a rather bad wish, it ended in the killing of quite a few frat boys, and the complete reversal of the spell.
I think if the vengeance wishes are smaller, they could get away with undoing them without such an effect as it did on Halfrek, but undoing Anya's spell on the frat guys took a lot more undoing than normal.

I agree. Kind of like when Anya made that guy a giant worm demon. She reversed that spell and all it cost her was forfeiting her ability to teleport for non-work related stuff.

No, I believe J Ryan is right - she loses her teleportation powers because of the spell reversal in "Beneath You".

I wonder if Halfrek ever lost any priveleges after withdrawing her spell on the gang in "Older & Far Away". Maybe not, since she would have been stuck in the house as well.
