Oz. My favorite werewolf ever! Even though he looks like a strange breed of gorilla, I still love him.

I have grown to love Oz over the years. Love... His take on animal crackers His nail polish. His laid-back approach towards finding out he's a werewolf, and life in general. The first time he saw Willow in her "ghost" costume on Halloween.
Oz and Willow were great together, and they probably had one of the healthier break ups at the very end of their relationship.

Oz was certainly an interesting character in the early seasons. As a very quiet character, it's easy to overlook him, and considering the amount of love the Willow/Tara relationship gets, it's easy to forget she was with someone before her. However, Oz was a great character. He represented a level of emotional maturity that the other Scoobies couldn't match in those early years, and maybe never achieved. Being able to forgive and accept Willow again after "Lovers Walk" is a sign of seriously strong character. Betrayal is no easy thing to live with and most people would not have the courage or self-esteem to go back to Willow after that.
Although he does have my least favourite line in the whole show, from "Helpless": OZ: Ice is cool! It's water, but it's not. (No Oz, it is water)
He also has some great dialogue worthy of repetition: XANDER: But... It's just that it's buggin' me, this 'cool' thing. I mean, what is it? How do you get it? Who doesn't have it? And who decides who doesn't have it? What is the essence of cool? OZ: Not sure. XANDER: I mean, you yourself, Oz, are considered more or less cool. Why is that? OZ: Am I? XANDER: Is it about the talking? You know, the way you tend to express yourself in short, noncommittal phrases? OZ: Could be. This conversation never fails to crack me up.
Also, who can forget Oz as God, hearing Oz's thoughts, and the big moment - trashing the pot thingy that's prepped to destroy the Box of Gavrox. He speaks volumes with his glare!

Oz is great. I don't think there's anything to really dislike about him.

I <3 Oz! The one character in the verse who manages to say so much by saying so little (although, not in S8 it seems ). He has so many scenes and lines that I love. I love his thing the animal crackers, telling willow she has the cutest smile he's ever seen (awww). Love how they get together even after Will finding out he's a werewolf, "I'd still if you you'd still..." Will going up to him and kissing him right on the lips! A bold and daring move for our Willow! Love when Oz first asks her out, too. She is giddy and giggly in her purple/blue? hat " I said date." Sooo cute! The whole evolution of the Oz/Wilow relationship was just great! And I loved any screen time he had with other characters, especially Xander and Buffy. Yay Oz! So glad he's back in S8.

Oz is by far the most mature character in the show. Yes, even surpassing Giles because Oz always has a sense of who he is, what he needs to do, and what is wrong. He overcomes the over lookingness that usually happens to silent types.
His best season would be 2, though he is shortly seen- he is there in such a possitive way. Helping everyone and such. He has some amazing lines in season 2 as well! My favorite episodes of him though are in season 4 which hold high Willow/Oz yummyness and sorrow.
I love LOVE Willow and Oz's relationship, as well as Willow and Tara. But what draws me stronger to Willow and Oz is the way he is so supportive to her with his calm protection. The way he advances towards issues they face is very applaudable! And I really don't see any flaws in his development.
As far as this season, I am so pleased he is back! Almost as pleased to have Faith back again, for Faith is numbero uno to me. Literal tears formed in my eyes as I picked up the issue first in the store... as my brothers just stared at me and coughed 'pathetic' But Oz brings emotions to my heart and I love when a character can do that!
I hate that he has moved onwards and has a spawn... BUT I know that's what Oz would have done really. And I know that Oz and Willow are soul mates in the most extremely connected sense. They will always have a bond that no other woman (for both of them!) will EVER come between. Something like Buffy and Angel's bond only... less fangy? I wish for more of their unique bonding in the next issues. Issue #28 which I JUST finished has satsified my missing moments so we'll see when #29 comes along. AND I do not wish to see Joss kill off Oz in the coming issues, nor his other woman and spawn... not a fan of the Oz unhappiness...
Oh and lastly- lets not forget he sets the standards for every guy I will go out with, sense about 8th grade!! (short, amazing hair, calm, sensable, handsome, werewolf, etc)
So far, NO GUY has EVER made it anywhere near my Oz standards. Way to go Joss... way to go...
