I wrote this, is it good?
The wind blew silently....Cold night air whipping Hope's face. She was on her way to her mother's house. Her car needing a gas refill, but a gas station was not within 5 miles.
"God, I can't believe I didn't think about packing a gas tank!" Hope muttered to herself. A pair of bright headlight shone through her back window. The car swerved to the other side of the road. The driver looked into Hope's face, his green eyes penetrating.
Hope started to tense up, her heart beating fast. THIS IS STRANGE she thought. The guy was coming closer to the side of Hope's car....
CRASH! He smashed into her car and she flew down, down into the darkness beyond the road barrier. The windshield broke, cold air was whipping her face like ice. Her car hit the dark murky water of the ocean below.
Water spilled into the car, drenching Hope, getting into her eyes. Hope fumbled with her seat belt, but finally got it off. The car was slowly sinking....
Hope swam out of the windshield and swam as fast as she could upward. Hope had about 2 inches left...
She gagged, coughed, and gulped air when she reached the top of the water.
WHAT JUST HAPPENED?, she thought. The waves were powerful, knocking her back under. She kept swimming though. Hope finally reached the land, but before she could pull herself on shore, hands grabbed her shoulders and flung her to the rocky shore. The next thing she knew, she was being shoved in a giant cloth bag and was thrown inside a trunk of a car.
Hope awoke to be inside a dark room...There was whispering all around her. She got up off the floor and started to walk, to find a source of light. Someone grabbed her around the waist and threw her to the ground. Hope hurriedly got up and immediately ran to her right, for no reason in particular. The whispering was getting closer...
The room suddenly burst with light.
It was full of men in black robes. Hope looked around and then saw a stair case. She ran and a guy lunged at her as she went in beside him but she dived forward onto the staircase and rolled down.
She hit the floor and got up. The men's footsteps were following her, running down the stairs. The light was already on and she saw a window.
She ran to it, it was chained shut. She looked around for a weapon. All there was was a jacket. The men entered the room. She backed away..finally hitting the wall. A man ran at her and she ducked just as he flung his fist at her. She swung her leg at his and he fell backward. Hope saw a hallway to her right and she she lunged up and ran down the hallway....
There was a window at the end of the hallway. Hope ran to it, it was locked. NO! Hope thought. Deep footsteps were running after her. Her only choice was to jump out the window, 4 stories high.
"There she is!" Hope turned and there was a HUGE pack of men, running to her. Just as she jumped into the window, her waist was grabbed. But, think fast, she grabbed the sides of the window sill and kicked the guy where it hurts the most. She pulled forward and front-flipped out the window space. She screamed, for what seemed like hours, but she finally hit the grass hill at the bottom of the house and rolled down.
The next thing Hope knew, she was awake. All the thing's that have happened to her flashed into her mind. She moved her arms and heard a jingle, she realized that her arms were chained to a wall.
The room was filled with dim light. Luckily, her legs weren't chained. A door opened from across the room and a tall man stepped into the room. "How are you feeling?" He asked. "What's it matter to you?" Hope snapped.
The man glared an icy stare at her. He started to walk toward her. "You get next to me and I will hurt you!!" Hope said. Fear was rising in her, fast.
The man laughed. "How can you hurt me? You're chained to a wall!" He said, still chuckling. Hope gave such and angry glance at him that the man's laughter faltered. "Hey! Get out!" Another man entered the room. The other man walked out.
The second man walked over to Hope. He stroked her hair. "Don't touch me!" Hope exclaimed. "Have you not noticed that you can't stop me?" He laughed. "Really? Move one inch to your left." Hope said. He obeyed. As soon as he moved to the right position, Hope thrust her leg between the man's legs. He howled in pain and dropped to the floor.
Something dropped on the ground when the man fell. It was the key to the chains! Hope lowered her leg down and scooted the key closer to her. She then tried to pick it up in her feet, she tried and failed about 100 times. Finally, she got it between her feet. She was very stretchy and she pulled her legs back toward her head and dropped the key by her hands. She forced her fingers to grab the key and put her hands by each other. Hope stuck the key inside the lock and turned it, freeing her hand. She freed her other hand and kicked the man again, right in the face. He lay motionless on the floor.
"I'm going to the store man! I'll be back in 20 minutes!" The other man called. Hope waited for the sound of a closing door and ran outside of the room she was chained inside. There was the door. The engine of the car outside started and he drove away. A phone, i need a phone she thought. She found a phone in the living room and dialed 911. The phone was broken. Hope groaned. She ran to the door and flew outside. She ran to the road and seen someone walking down the street. Hope ran as fast as she could toward the man, shouting "Help me!!" as she did.
After about 20 seconds, the man was running to her. "What? What's the matter? Who are you?" He said. "I-kidnapped-in that house!" She stuttered, and pointed the house. The man looked up and down the street...he gasped. "He's coming! Hide in that push there! I'll distract him. I'll tell you to run by saying "NO!" really loud." he said. Hope ran to the bush and hid...Waiting for the signal. Finally, the signal came.
The signal came, so Hope ran as fast as she could up the street, but no past the truck. After about 30 seconds of running, Hope heard an engine behind her. She glanced behind her, still running, and seen the dude in a truck, chasing after her. She couldn't keep running, he'd squash her!!
Hope ran sideways, the side of the road, and jumped off the road into the brush beyond.
Vines were scratching every part of skin she had, she was rolling on a sloping vine, wood infested hill that lead to a stream. She finally plunged down onto the rocky floor of the stream, for it wasn't deep. Hope ignored the stinging of the vines' thorns and got up, soaked. She looked around for some way to get up on the road. But, before she could move one more step, an engine sound seemed to echo from where Hope just came from, and the next thing she knew, she as diving sideways as a truck came speeding out of the brush toward her.
Hope ran and ran, but she would still get caught...She ran into a huge bush and waited for the truck to go in front of her. Hope ran toward the truck and climbed into the back. The guy driving it couldn't see her because there was no window where a back window should be.
Hope hoped that he was driving to a gas station or something, then she might have a chance to actually escape.
It seemed, even though it hasn't been long, that Hope had been held hostage for a long time, and that she has been running for her life for years...Maybe it would stop, and maybe it wouldn't.
(Wait for chapter 5, something really surprising is going to happen. Who will die, who will live, who gets away, who is forced to stay? Are all these things gonna happen?
The truck stopped at a gas station. Hope waited for the guy to walk inside the store and she jumped to the ground. She had to find a car...
Suddenly, a gassy smell erupted from inside the station...BOOM!!! The station blew up. The force of air from the explosion sent Hope flying across the road. She flew through a grocery store window and hit a rack of goodies. She was showered with glass...The wood from the explosion flew into the grocery store, covering people with wood.
Hope got up and helped everyone get up, and made sure they weren't injured. Hope walked out of the store and looked for the guy that had kidnapped her. She couldn't see him. Hope ran to the explosion site and saw the guy lying on the ground...dead. She gave a sigh of relief, earning her an appalled look from a customer at the gas station that had also been blown backward.
Hope ran to the truck, got in, and drove away...Hopefully to her home. Hopefully, to safety.
*******************************
Hope walked into her house, took a shower, ate, and went to bed. Everything that had happened flooded her mind as she slept. She had a nightmare about the guy. Every time she opened her eyes, she thought she seen him standing by her, again. And every time she ran screaming outside, earning suspicious glances from neighbors.
On her fifth night home, she was about to add more to her list of frightening things that have happened to her in the past week or two...And she didn't know is she would survive.
Hope sat down on the couch once more, thinking about how her life would return to normal. Someone knocked on the door, scaring Hope out of her wits. She slowly got up and walked to the window. She looked out and seen one of the guys that had kidnapped her....She ran to the kitchen, grabbed the nearest weapon, (a rolling pin) and ran up the second story. She ran to her bedroom, took her clothes chest and blocked the door with it. BAM! The front door flew and hit the ground....Hope gasped. She ran to her closet, opened the closet doors, and slipped inside. She shut the doors silently and waited.
After what seemed like hours, her door was being banged on, the chest shaking, and falling to the ground. The man entered the room and looked around. He was breathing hard... He pulled up the bed skirt and looked under it, checking for Hope under the bed. He walked around the whole room, tearing everything off shelves, everything thrown onto the ground. He finally approached the closet, causing Hope to swell with fear.
He opened the doors. As soon as she seen his whole body, she punched and kicked, and jumped on top of him, causing them both to slam onto the ground. She got up, only to be grabbed and thrown on the bed. She hit the bed and rolled onto the floor. The man stepped over Hope and grabbed her hair. She elbowed him to the face and did a cartwheel. She ran outside into the hallway and ran to the bathroom. The man was following. He grabbed her middle and pulled her back, slamming her head into the door frame.
"NO!!!" Hope screamed. Hope struggled and struggled. She finally got free and punched him in the face. She ran to her bedroom and jumped, full speed and strength, out the window, covered in glass. She slammed into the ground and got up. She had no time to waste. She ran down the street, screaming for help...But no one came. Something hit Hope's head and she flew to the ground. She tried crawling up, but someone grabbed her. Headlights appeared suddenly into Hope's eyes...A police car's headlights. She was saved.
At the police station, a policeman called Jesse made sure that most of those guys were arrested. It was hard work to find most of them. Jesse sat down beside Hope. "Hope, you're going to be OK. I know that nothing can erase what HAS happened, but at least you won't have more to remember. But, someday, you may finally have a fun enough time, happiness, to take up most of the space of the horror that you have endured. Just know that you have me, family, and friends to take care of you, to help you." Hope laughed and smiled, "Thanks Jesse." "No problem...You know, the first time that I seen you, I liked you, and I mean liked...I guess that Love At First Sight is true. I love you." Jesse said. Hope was overwhelmed. She laughed and they kissed.
