Don't turn the grey to red
When the bridge seems just high enough
when the water is so inviting
when the razors shine so brightly
when you feel, you want the grey metal to turn to red
take a step back
and pretend just for a minute
that your life could have meaning.
I'm sured you heard it all.
”Fake it till you make it.”
”It will get better.”
”Time heals all wounds.”
I bet you've been to therapy
talked to your loved ones
smiled to a stranger, just to have them smile back.
No? You haven't done any of that?
Then I'm sorry but
don't leave just yet.
Take a step back, think of what you're doing
Have you tried to talk about it?
Even if nothing's happen,
life can seem so hard
so empty and dull
and you feel like covering the shiny grey with red
That's not the only way to feel,
you can feel your blood rush even without the knife.
Your depression might be unnecassary
Some of us are lost, that's true, we live in the dark, no drugs or hugs can heal us,
but are you one of them?
Do you just need a smile, a shove, a hard smack on the head?
Need to realize, that your pain is not eternal?
That goes for the ones that have been hurt too.
Is your heart broken,
your brother dead,
your body raped,
mind violated?
You can heal, you can feel, maybe not all of you, but at least give it a shot.
Try, for your mother, for your potential unborn son
Try for me, because even tough I'll never met you,
