My favorite is "Conviction" and "Deep Down" even though season four was kind of screwd up, just my opinion, it started off good.

"City Of" is one of Angel's best episodes and one of my favorite pilot episodes ever, so I went with that. Second best was definitely "Deep Down."

Tough choice for me, but the serial story lover in me had to choose Deep Down over Judgment in the end. While I feel Judgment is top-notch ANGEL, Deep Down just lays down what Season Four is about upfront - not so much with the fighting and little moreso with the drama. The other choice is Conviction. Putting Team Angel into Wolfram & Hart's mystical hands was not going to be all hugs and puppies, and the conclusion of the episode arc at the school ("There's only one thing stronger than conviction.") was an excellent first example of what was going to go down. The only element missing was a complete explanation of Spike's existence in the show, but that's why it's a two-parter with Just Rewards. |
