Well I can actually say for once that I've seen all four(usually not such a Firefly watcher...), but I'll go with Buffy. Cheesiness and all, it's a classic episode that is in my favorites.

Why pick The Train Job for the Firefly episode? Serenity was an infinitely better pilot.  I stuck with Angel on this one. Nothing beats that first occurrence of Angel's musical theme. |

Why pick The Train Job for the Firefly episode? Serenity was an infinitely better pilot. I stuck with Angel on this one. Nothing beats that first occurrence of Angel's musical theme. I just chose whatever was the series first episode. I felt if I used the original pilot then I would have to do the same thing for the others. |

wow, this is a toughy. I really do love them all. As much as I love Buffy though, I actually went with City of on this one. I just think it was a better pilot/premiere ep overall. Second, would be Welcome to the Hellmouth, followed by Ghost (which is actually pretty damn good). I didn't pick The Train Job, simply b/c I don't consider it the true pilot. If Fox had done their job correctly and aired eps in order, Serenity would have been the premiere ep, as it was originally intended to be (yeah, small pet peeve of mine).

The only shows I seen are Buffy and Angel but I liked Buffy's pilot a lot more. For Angel I just wasn't use to seeing Angel and Cordelia with out the other Scoobies. But yet again I felt the same thing when I was watching season 4 of Buffy, because I missed Cordelia.

Hmm, I'm first to do Dollhouse. With the other shows it took me at least two episodes to be addicted; But Ghost got me hooked right away,

Voted for Buffy... although if Serenity was the choice for Firefly instead of The Train Job, I definitely would've voted for Firfefly.

As Johanne said, I would have voted for Firefly if "Serenity" had been the option (it was certainly the first episode I saw) because I do think that it was the strongest opener to any of the series. However, from the choices available I went for Buffy.
