Mercy was really good. I didn't expect it to be anything special. There are a lot of doctor dramas out, and originality only goes so far. But I liked it, it was entertaining.

Just watched the Trauma premiere. Well, 45 minutes of it anyways. One of the worst first episodes I've ever seen. Not one to give up on something so quickly, but everything, especially the writing, was just terrible.

The previews didn't look good, it looked terribly bland even compared to Mercy (which I'm still not totally excited about, but will be watching). Too many medical shows on the air right now anyway, I'll pass on it.

Trauma... should just watch the first 20 minutes because it's laughingly bad.

I watched like 2 seconds of Trauma and was bored out of my mind... so i watched Modern family and Flashforward on Hulu. And both of those were pretty awesome. Flashforward wasnt ALL THAT but it was still good. =] Modern family was hilarious though.

i watched FlashForward earlier and i have to say i totally dug it, it looks really promising the Oceanic Airlines billboard was a weird and unnecessary shout-out to LOST and the kangaroo? what? is that like FlashForwards polar bears/horses or something?

I watched Flashforward as well, and I'm sufficiently intrigued. I'll be watching on Hulu, though, because nothing pulls me away from my Bones/Fringe night.

I found myself accidentally watching the premieres of both FlashForward and Mercy. They were on the TV and I couldn't pull myself away.
FlashForward was astounding. I love the premise, which my mum had vaguely told me about a minute before it started. But it was so good and I'm definitely hooked.
Me and my mum were bagging Mercy when the ads came on for it before it started calling it "another hospital show" like Grey's Anatomy which never appealed to me. But when it came on it had all this comedy and it was actually really good. Michelle Trachtenberg's character was hilarious.

I came into this season with only a couple of returning shows....Castle, which I still adore and think is wonderful...and Criminal Minds (the premiere was fabulous!!).
I've checked out Vampire Diaries. I've not read any of the books so I didn't come to it with any expectations....and I like it, but there needs to be waaaay less Damon. I hate bad guys always winning and so far it seems he is.
Loved Flash Forward!! Liked NCIS: Los Angeles, but that's more my hubby's show than mine.
I also fully intend to watch Three Rivers this Sunday night when it premieres on CBS. It will be the only medical drama I watch, but I ADORE Alex O'Loughlin so I'm hoping it's worthy of his talent and is a well written show as well.
Up until this year I've watched Bones, but after that finale last season I can't bring myself to do anything other than fastforward when I watch it. Hart truly ruined the show for me with that episode.

How did he ruin the show for you? I think he just upped the ante.

I thought I would resurrect this thread for discussion of some of the new shows starting to premiere this week for the new TV Season. I am interested in hearing your suggestions and opinions of the new shows. I am always looking for something good to watch!
I'll start with last nights "Hellcats". It starts that girl Aly from "Aly and AJ" and Ashley Tisdale from High School Musical. Executive produced by Smallville's Tom Welling.
The good: D.B. Woodside (Buffy's Robin Wood) is in it so there's that. Ashley Tisdale does a good job of pulling of the "Perfect Cheerleader" type
The bad: So predictable, but it was a pilot that's soul purpose seemed to be to get us to the point where the show can really start.
I was not impressed by Aly M., and her character is supposed to be likeable and our underdog. I didn't really like her.
Verdict:
May watch one more episode if nothing else is on, but I don't think this will be a winner.

I'm ready for the Vampire Diaries premiere tonight and may catch 90210 next Monday. I was thinking about checking out Hellcats. Probably. I'm also going to start watching Desperate Housewives, Smallville and ANTM again this season. I've missed probably the last 2 or 3 season of all show just listed, so I'm ready to get back into them. Especially Smallvile since it's the last season. The Vampire Diaries is really the only thing I'm excited about for the fall so far. Psych is gone til November and True Blood is about to end and those are my favorite shows right now.

Sons of Anarchy had a great premiere on Tuesday. Last night's premiere of the new FX show Terriers was also fantastic. Only got to watch about 20 minutes of tonight's Vampire Diaries premiere, but I hear it was great.
I'm so excited it's September. About 30 shows are premiering over the next month (no lie, 30), and I don't know how I will keep up with them all, but I'm excited nonetheless.

Aren't most of those shows expected to be cancelled though? As in, doesn't every fall start off with a crazy number of shows, and the ones that don't make the cut are, well, cut?
