What's your favorite "power shot"?

That is, the shot from the end of the opening credits -- always a dramatic shot of Buffy, alone, looking kind of badass. Which one did you like best?

Up until Season 7, my favorite was probably the one they had for Seasons 3-5 -- the one from "Anne" tilting down on Buffy brandishing that weird-looking weapon. I didn't think there was anything all that special about the shot from Seasons 1-2 or the one from Season 6.

But the Season 7 power shot is growing on me. At first glance, it's not quite as badass as the one from "Anne," but in a way the weaponless, arms-crossed pose goes well with Buffy's arc in Season 7, growing in self-confidence as she goes from lone warrior to leader and teacher.

I'm prefer the Anne one best, but I'm really fond of the one from Welcome to Hellmouth. The last ones just didn't do it for me. They didn't seem at all powerful. I sometimes think that's because she had just ended(or around there, I don't remember the Anne thing all that well) a fight and was being awesome and had showed off how cool she was. Also, the last two aren't even actually her, they are the BuffyBot and the First. I bet though, if the show had gone on her "get outta my face" rise from "Chosen" totally woulda been the next one and if it had been. It would be my favorite.

Definitely the one from Anne - it just looks so cool, and makes her seem totally badass and girl-powery.

I always thought it was interesting how the last two seasons were of BuffyBot and the First. I remember reading somewhere a while back that it seemed to symbolize how she wasn't herself after her (second) death. Makes sense I suppose.

Wow, I never heard that before, but that makes total sense. And even of Buffy as "Anne," I guess she wasn't quite being herself there either, even though she ends up accepting her destiny. I'm a fan of that one myself.

I'd never heard that bit about Buffy not being herself before, but I think that's a clever catch, even if it was unintentional. My favorite's always been the Anne ending.


I always thought the 7th Season's "power shot" was a little weak. I know that it's supposed to show that the First was the big brewin' evil in that season, but the shot didn't resonate with me, as previous seasons had.

Gonna go with "Welcome to the Hellmouth/The Harvest" here. The shot from "Anne" is good, but sort of undermines what I felt was the better moment for her in that episode, which was her insolence to the guards just before the fight starts.

S6 is my least favorite. S7 almost works, but the fact that it's The First and not Buffy is misleading.

I never noticed that ... I'm guessing the Buffybot shot is from "The Bargaining," since that's pretty much the only option, but when is the First one from?

the Buffybot shot is actually from The Gift, and i think the First shot is from the end of Lessons
but i'm not too sure about that

Yeah I remember reading somewhere that the last two shots were of Fake Buffies due to the fact Buffy was no longer gusto-girl in slaydom and life. Also, I heard it was meant to be a reflection of the moving networks as well since some crew/cast felt it wasn't quite the same being on a different network. *Shrugs* S'what I heard on the grapevine, hehe.

But I have to say the Anne shot is my favorite credits end. It's just such a hero shot angle, I mean it is on the Welcome to the Hellmouth but it's done a lot more subtely and so doesn't, I feel, pack as much of a punch.

I think my favorite is the Anne one,she looks awesome,and the look on her face is just perfect!
The last one are too weak,they don't show enough of her strength.And also,it's the Buffy-bot and the First,as someone said it below^^

I really don't like the power-shot for season 7, because it's not Buffy, it's the First. The Buffy-bot shot wasn't her either, but it's okay.

Not sure which is my favorite. I can only remember the Harvest one and the Anne one(and maybe one from Innocence). I think I prefer the Harvest one.

I like the Buffybot pose the most - great camera angle, and the Buffybot's expression is perfect.

the anne shot is my favourite
its the whole "don't mess with me" and that episode is about her remembering who and what she is which i think is pretty powerful
