The reason I ask is because I would prefer all seasons of Dollhouse to be half seasons. This way the seasons would be produced quicker and more interesting.
If Dollhouse had a full season I think the storyline would become very boring and it would have to include too many stand alone episodes.
I would prefer that every season of Dollhouse only consisted of 12 episodes.
Alot of shows in the UK have 12 or less episodes and they seem to be far better that way to be honest.

I'd go with full.
More episodes, story, and time to get invested in the character's lives. The wait for future seasons wouldn't be as long either. I don't see how making the seasons shorter would make the show more interesting. The overall story can have more time to progress. Imagine Buffy Season 5 or 3 if it was only 12 episodes. No thank you.

No thank you. I see where your coming from but I believe thats because Buffy was, in my opinion, a lot more interesting and in a world of its own. Don't get me wrong, I love Dollhouse, but its completely different than all of Joss other stuff. I got board of the Alpha storyline near the end of season one, and that was only a half season. I just tend to find it more interesting if it doesn't drag and drag. Shows never seem to do that when they are left with fewer episodes. This means that there is always something going on and therefore less boardem and sucky stand alone episodes.

I think the problem with the Alpha storyline was more the writing than episode count. We got a lot of interesting Alpha teases in the first few episodes, and then it was just ignored for about seven episodes. The writers could have used that time to further that story but instead waited till the last two episodes. In my opinion, both Briar Rose and Omega felt so rushed to tie that story up and it left a lot of plot points open. I think more episodes could of greatly improved it.
I don't think stand alones are bad either. The first five episodes aren't great, but that's more FOX's problem. Haunted is a good example. It's standalone, but still a good episode, and greatly developed Topher, Adelle and Paul. If it wasn't for that episode, I wouldn't like Topher and Adelle as much as I do now. So I think stand alones serve an important point.

Like you said above, the writing wasn't too good in some of the episodes. If they had even more episodes to work on then the writing is likely to end up even worse as they have more episodes to concentrate on. In saying all this, I suppose FOX did stick their noses in alot in season one so I shouldn't be judging it much. I shall sit back and look forward to season two and hope for it to be better, although I really hope they don't drag it like they did in season one and put 100% effort into it.

I'm a fan of short and long seasons. Short seasons tend to be more focused (every episode counts), whereas longer seasons get to play a bit and add lighter, less important episodes.
For Dollhouse though, I want a full season of 22 episodes.

I would go either way, but i kinda agree that i could see this getting boring, so i would rather a good compact season then filler episodes that are pointless. Look at Dexter, the show is tight with 12 a season, no crappy stand alones (that i remember)I guess it depends where Joss wants to take this.

i could go either way as well. it's hard for me to decide since i've never seen a 22 episode season of Dollhouse. if i do, i could make a decision... but until that day, it doesn't matter to me...
