Okay! I'm watching the newest Family Guy episode, Spies Reminiscent of Us, on Hulu. They start talking about Sleeper Agents and how they can be triggered by uttering a phrase that no one would think of saying. Once in their state, they would do any task given. They even mention about their 'Handlers'. I just thought this was kinda neat. ^^ If you would like to hear the full thing, the link is: www.hulu.com/watch/101492/family-guy-spies-reminiscent-of-us#s-p1-so-i0The part starts at 8:04 - 8:35. I haven't finished the episode, but I'm sure they will probably talk more about it later on in this episode. Thoughts?

It actually has to do with Soviet Russia, so I really don't think there's a correlation. They start these cartoons 7 months in advance so I doubt this had anything to do with Dollhouse.

Seth MacFarlane is possibly a fan of the Whedonverse... they even straight up mentioned Buffy in The Cleveland Show this weekend. and he dated Eliza Dushku for a while.
it reminded me of the November situation... There are three flowers in a vase...

Them starting 7 months in advance wouldn't disprove it being inspired by Dollhouse, which started 8 months ago, I believe.

I don't know if this is a direct shout to Dollhouse; the idea of Sleeper Agents and the term "Handler" have been used for a long time. But hey, it would be cool.
As for the Cleveland Show... "Bring back Buffy the Vampire Slayer" made me laugh! And my wife promptly made fun of me to boot!

I hope people don't think I was trying to say Family Guy stole Dollhouse's theme, or anything! I just thought it was neat to be hearing stuff used in Dollhouse on Family Guy. ;D
I didn't even think about Seth doing it because he knows Eliza, and everyone else!
