I used to think Restless was overrated, but now it's one of my favs, lol. I'm not sure. I think most of the epsidoes that get praise deserve it. I think a lot of Season 2 is overrated though, I absolutely adore Season 2, but I think it's far from the best. It's most people's favorite, though.

for me it has to be OMWF. i know people are going to hate me for saying it but it is. im not saying its not a good episode, but im not a fan of musicals, so thats most likely why. (but i still do have the album for it, lol)

Halloween. I hate it so much, it's not the perfect episode but people love it. I think it's really boring and I can't stand Sarah Michelle Gellar's terrrrrible british accent. The Willow parts are great though.

My least favorite episode of Buffy is Where The Wild Things Are. I found it boring and far below the writers' normal standards.

It's not overrated though, if anything, most people dislike that episode. I quite like it, there's some good Anya scenes in it. It's one of those guilty pleasure episodes for me, the ones you know aren't that great but you like anyway. Most overrated episode for me would have to be "Once More, With Feeling". Don't get me wrong, it's a brilliant episode and I love it. But I'm sick of hearing about it. Whenever Joss gets interviewed, people only seem to ask about "OMWF". There were 143 other episodes you know... Non-fans just like it cos it's gimmicky.

The Willow parts are great though. A lot of people say her British accent was horrible, but I'm fairly certain she wasn't attempting a British accent. Just an American accent of...whatever century she was supposed to be from, lol (18th??o.0).

There really aren't that many episodes I don't like. Of those -- "Restless," "Life Serial" and "Doublemeat Palace" (those being the ones that I skipped past when watching the series through for the second time), "Restless" is the only one I head people praise frequently.

I don't see how anyone can say "Restless" is overrated. If anything, I think it's highly underrated; mainstream critics rarely acknowledge it and even fans sometimes seem confused or annoyed by it.
"Restless" is the nexus of the entire show. It takes place right in the middle of the series' run, and explores past and future seasons. For a show in which plot is usually irrelevant compared to characterisation, an episode which jumps right into the characters' subconscious and explores everything they're about from the inside is just bliss. The only thing which could make "Restless" more perfect is if Angel and Cordy had been able to make an appearance. ;D

I just saw "Primeval", and I don't think its that good. I think it's one of the least exciting big bad fights of the season.

I think the Dark Willow saga is overrated. In my opinion, it contains some of the worst dialog of the series, and possibly the worst acting I've ever seen from Aly H, who I usually think is an excellent actor.

Willow's pain is palpable and seeing her that way is frightening, so maybe her dialogue may be a little over the top but I think it works. Also the end part with her and Xander is so sweet and beautiful that it makes it worthwhile. I am most disappointed with Willow afterward, she loses something and I don't really like her as much in the last season.

The Season Three two-parter, though higher in quality than the Season Six three-parter, has to be the least involving of all of them. The whole emotional disconnect that runs through most of season three led to a lot of it in the end.

I think the Dark Willow saga is overrated. In my opinion, it contains some of the worst dialog of the series, and possibly the worst acting I've ever seen from Aly H, who I usually think is an excellent actor. I think it started off very strong with "Villains" but deteriorated across the later two episodes. It became rather tacky, more about fanservice and one-liners than serious characterisation. Still some very good moments though, like "I'd like to test that theory" and Xander's speech. The Season Three two-parter, though higher in quality than the Season Six three-parter, has to be the least involving of all of them. The whole emotional disconnect that runs through most of season three led to a lot of it in the end. 'Splainy? I don't quite get what you mean, and I LOVE Graduation Day, so I have to ask. Ditto, I find the season three finale very satisfying, crap CGI snake notwithstanding. I don't see how anyone can say "Restless" is overrated. If anything, I think it's highly underrated; mainstream critics rarely acknowledge it and even fans sometimes seem confused or annoyed by it. "Restless" is the nexus of the entire show. It's a mystery that you have to unwravel.

Willow after being all dark and veiny is just not a person I liked at all.

Tabula Rasa, definitely. It's funny, but I don't like that it doesn't fit with the rest of the season. I mean, yeah, it shows that Willow is addicted to magic, and ruins things, and puts people in danger, but...idk, just doesn't feel right to me. That being said, I love Spin the Bottle. It's the same concept, and doesn't fit with the rest of Angel season 4, but IMO it's done better, lol.
Also, OMWF. I like it, I do. I'm a Broadway person, and in terms of a musical it's definitely not the best, but it's fun and I do like the songs...but when people say it's the best episode ever, I have to disagree.
